    Hi there

Have you tried Equifax for a free credit report for 30 days I believe, worth googling them in, or at the most you would pay £2 for your credit report. Hope the details will be of some help below.;)

    MBNA 0800 917 6592 or 0800 085 1409

    Intelligent Finance
    http://www.if.com/contactus/complaints.aspx

    Virgin Cards
    http://uk.virginmoney.com/virgin/contact/complaint.jsp

Thanks for that, Equifax came up trumps. They are even kind enough to provide contact details for creditors.
I shall blow the budget and put ink in my printer, I suspect it will be working overtime for the next few days.

    Hi,
Sorry if I've missed something obvious, and this is a post that is answered elsewhere, just getting the hang of all this...

I have a business account with Lloyds and have had several loans with LRPI the business version of PPI

As Lloyds separate the business and personal banking, does anyone know where to send the questionnaire? I'm not sure if it'll work with the address that the personal accounts people are sending their complaints to?
    Many thanks,

    Segura.

    Hi there

I think it maybe the same place but if you email or ring them they will be able to confirm this for you.

    Hi there

    I believe that is correct.:D

Hope you manage to get hold of them soon, did you try ringing or emailing them?

I bet they are overloaded with call perhaps, keep on at them though, fingers crossed. x;)

My sisterinlaw banks with them and i remenber her saying that abby had changed over to santander.

I rang them today about a loan i had with them some time ago, the reason i rang them, It was two weeks since i sent them my first letter. this is the number i rang 0845 755 5555 they said they could not find any letter on the system regarding my claim and silly me didnt send it recorded delivery so i havnt got proof that i sent it.
anyway long story short they said that they will look in to it and for me to ring back tomorrow on this number 08456090806 , I sent the others recorded delivery but not this one because i was rushing posting it.

Thanks for the fingers crossed i have got everything crossed here for you, and by the way i sent the one off that i found in the attic too. ;):D

    Hi Everyone,

I took out a loan with Central Trust in 2003 over a 10 year period, which included PPI.

I was self employed at the time, but it was never explained that I would not be able to claim due to my employment status.

My business ceased trading in 2006 and I took up full time employment, however, I was made redundant in 2009, I contacted Central Trust to enquire about a claim.

I was told (to my surprise) that my cover was only valid for the fist 5 years and had now expired. I told them that I was still paying the policy, the answer.... well most people would have taken out loans to pay off existing ones, and started the 5 years period again.

Well, not me, I wanted to claim, but was refused on the '5 year rule'.

After finding this site, I sent off the ombudsman form to Central Trust, after a week, I received a letter basically saying 'tough' and I cannot do a thing about it as they were not regulated by the FSA or GISC at the time the loan was taken out, they also quote the Limitation act of 1980 and is therefore 'time barred'. They also state that it is not there intention to respond any further.

Anyone else had any dealings with this company? Any success or failure stories?

I am passing this on to the obudsman, I will let you know the result.

    Regards

    Trevor
