Hi all, my PPI claim against lloyds tsb has been with the ombudsman for over a year now, how soon do we expect banks to start paying out the money theyve put aside? They ignored the initial ruling so it was refered to the senior ombudsman.

    Hello there

The banks have made a start, today I received my letters from them (lloyds) and they have upheld.
I would contact the FOS and ask them when is it likely you will hear something, hope its not too long now, but they have definately made a start anyway, good luck.;)

  • Hello

I'm new to this website, just hoping for a bit of advice really.

After all the recent press coverage I discovered a couple of weeks ago that I did in fact have PPI on a 5 year loan with Natwest. The first thing I did was to call them and the "PPI Team" registered it as a complaint and said I would get a letter within 7 days to acknowledge this. I still haven't heard anything - should my next step be to write them a letter now or would it be best to just call them again?

    Thanks in advance :)

    Hi and welcome

It may be taking a little longer, due to backlogs, even though they do have 8 weeks to come up with a decision, they should keep you well informed, but give them a ring and ask them when should you expect to hear from them.
    Good luck.;)

    Thank you :)

I'll give them a ring this afternoon. Hopefully I won't have to go over everything with them for the fourth time, they're internal communication leaves a lot to be desired!

Well done Di, thats great news! Congratulations!! :T:j:j

I received a letter from Halifax today, regarding 3 complaints I have with them. Its a response to the email I sent to the CEO of Lloyds last Friday. But basically all it says is that they are starting to deal with complaints in date order of the date received and they hope to be able to offer me an update on their findings in the near future!! :(

Doesn't look like i'm going to get an outcome anytime soon then :(

    Thank you.

I would not worry about that, I was told exactly the same thing word to word last week and did not expect to have received a response so soon, I'm sure you will hear something very soon. Fingers crossed.;)
