Done it again well heres my story i made a complaint using the template letter on here, about being sold ppi on two of my accounts that date back 2004,1 being a halifax credit card with a outstanding balance of £6500.00 and 1 for a consolidation loan with halifax again which i taken out to cover my other 1 and the balance owing on this is £1050.00 they both had ppi which i just assume you had to have these on them, so sent the letter with all paper to support them and recieved a letter back saying this. Thank you for contacting us about your complaint. I am sorry this situation has occurred and i appreciate you taking the time to bring this to our attention.my understanding of your complaint is that you are concerned about the way you were sold your payment protection insurance (ppi)on your halifax credit card and your personal loan.if i misunderstood this please let us know by calling us.please find enclose a copy of our complaints leaflet which gives details of our commitment to resolve your complaint as quickly and simply as possible.your complaint will be dealt with as quickly as possible, but if you need to speak to us in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us. Has anybody else had one ofthese letters if so what do i need to do now. Thanks
Hi there, this is just a "we have recieved your complaint" letter.
You will get a reply soon they have 8 weeks to reply to you so hang on.
You cannot take this to FOS until they gaive you a final letter saying you can go to FOS, as the firm has the 8 weeks period to deal with your complaint.
I would hang fire anyway with the FOS as this will take up to a year or more, i am sure the bank will come up trumps here.

Hi there

I have been asked this in the past as well by Lloyds who are the same as the company your dealing with.
If your unsure about giving details by email, you may be best then to give them a ring or maybe send a letter by hard copy post.
Did they leave their tel number for you to ring them?

Thanks for your speedy reply :j. I'll let you know how I get on...

Hi there and thanks for that, that is actually the email I use and have no problem with, but last week, when sending them an email I received an automated email response from the postmaster which said the email box was full and try again later.
customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

Keep trying, you will get there.;)

First time using this site for asking for help. My question is I filled all the questionaires in 3 in total. One for Barclays for a loan of £5,000 payed off 2008 (was not properly informed about PPI). Halifax Credit card £10.00 a month PPI, had the card for 3 years and got told that if my marriage broke up then they would pay out, I am not even married, but felt pressured into taking it. I also tried Paragon Finance. Had a loan in 1996 for £10,000, PPI at £48.54 a month. Half way through the loan payments I fell pregnant and fell behind with the payments. This went to court and I agreed to pay it off at £70.00 a month. A year after that I got made redundant and lost my job. We decided in 2004 to sell the house and pay Paragon off as it was hanging over our heads. The question I had was why was I not informed that while I was still paying the loan off why I could not have applied for the PPI to kick in while I was redundant. Is this because it went to court. Nobody told me I could. I feel we payed the PPI for nothing. I contacted Paragon Finance through filling out a form and writing all this in. I still have the original documents as it was through Universal Credit before Paragon took them over. Any way got my reply through from Paragon within a week stating basically I have no chance because the complaint occurred before the jurisdiction was extended in April 2007 to loans regulated by the consumer credit act. Do I let this drop.
• hello everyone :) simple question really, does reclaiming stop at just ppi's or late/missed payments on cc's ?? its just that i'm looking through my girlfriends mounds of paperwork and have noticed something called privacyguard which she has been paying 6.99 for 2 years, she says the bank persuaded her it would be a good thing to purchase and i'm wondering if i can reclaim the money back :)
