Hi,
I sent letters to each of my creditcard companys asking for the Insurance payments. Firstly Barclays said "okay but we need £10 to relase the information" that was 10 days ago. Today Halifax got in touch and sent me a copy of EVERY statement I have had. My question is why didn't Barclaycard send me the statements? Are they just stalling?
Cheers

hi
help would be very much appreciated.
i have had about 3 loans with beneficial finance probably started taking loans with them around 2000. all loans have been paid off. all 3 loans were sold to me with ppi inhouse and i was told that the loans were unlikely to ba approved if the ppi not taking. also feel with my employment i get 6 months full pay during sickness and ppi is not relevant but as i said was told loan would be declined if not taking.
so.....
want to reclaim this but want to check im going the right way about it. i have no account numbers or documentation regarding these loans so do i firstly send a sar to hfc ( who i believe now take over beneficial) giving all details ie name address previous addresses dob etc, send a po for £10 (do you make the po payable to hfc as no longor have check book but hey thats another story, and wait and see what i get back?
if you can let me know im starting in the right direction it would be much appreciated all info i have gained so far has been reading through threads. its a great site
thanks

Hello there
If you want to try to save a bit of money, then some suggestions first but failing that, then go the SAR direction, you will have to give them as many details as possible in order for them to try to find your loan account details.
Firstly, if your still with the same bank now where you paid the loan repayments, and bank online, this may allow you to check bank statements as from 2002, the loan account number of that actual loan may be shown next to the loan monthly repayment.
Or ring them, some have made contact by phone and given details, again you need to give them as many details as possible.
Then just as long as you have your account number, and knew you were paying for ppi and mis sold, you can continue to make a reclaim.
You can do so by completing the reclaim questionnaire as on step 3 below, remember to keep copies, allow about 8 weeks for a decision.
Send to their head office or complaints dept (of whoever sold you the loan).
Hope this helps, good luck.

Also just to add, if mis sold for the same reasons, one questionnaire should be sufficient, remember to apply all account numbers, but if the mis selling reasons differ - complete separate reclaims. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
this is one for dunstonh and/or magpiecottage, so if you've not done so yet, please post on a new thread as on the link posted below, title it "Mortgage ppi reclaim query", it will not be missed then, good luck.

Im new here and was hoping someone can help me, I have contacted Barclays for a copy of my loan agreement dated back to 2007 as I want to complain and hopefully reclaim some missold PPI, when speaking to them they told me that the loan I took out in 2007 was paid up in 2008 and I know this is not correct as I hadnt paid it off, and they were taking the money from my account each month. Ive asked for a copy of the loan agreement which they say has been paid up and was told it would arrive in the next 3 working days, which it hasnt. I will call them again and request a copy, but if I complain without a copy of the agreement my chances of reclaiming any PPI is reduced, but if they cannot find it surely I have no chance???
Look forward to your comments.
Thanks
Hi there
You can still make a reclaim, as long as you have your loan account number and your reasons, I did not have all my loan agreements and still made reclaims.
However, they don't always hold copies of statements after the loan has been settled, although they are supposed to keep data of the account over the last 6 years.
You can always contact the information commissioners office (ICO) for advice and info on this.

For more on reclaiming, step 3 reclaim questionnaire here.

Complete - send to their complaints or head office, and allow 8 weeks, keep copies of everything, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
Yes I would certainly give it a go, as long as you have the account number, then go for it.
Many have still been successful on even earlier years making a reclaim.
Step 3 reclaim questionnaire

complete & send to head office or complaints dept of whoever sold you the loan, keep copies and allow 8 weeks for a decision, good luck on your reclaiming. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
If you requested for just a copy of your agreement & terms and conds, this only costs £1 cheque or postal order, and this normally takes 12 days.
In regards of a SAR, this is what you paid for, £10, they have 40 calendar days to comply and send everything they still hold on you.
There is a SAR letter template below, this includes everything, if this is not the one you used, you can ask them to send all that is requested for on the SAR, and you have already made the sufficient payment for.

Any problems, contact the Information Commissioners office (ICO) and ask for advice, as they help with these matters, good luck.
