    Hi

Thank you for the reply :)

The cards accounts have been closed in 2005

Lloyds didn't have any data records for them so they said.so they asked me to provide proof that i was paying for PPI.
I did this by sending them a copy of the credit card statement
They then sent me a letter back saying that they are dealing with my claim.

Thank you for the good luck wishes i need it :D
    Sure you dont :D;)

Thanks Amersall, I will give them another call. Funnily enough the account number that M&S quoted on the letter they sent to me didn't correspond to the Mastercard Account Number, so perhaps there is another agreement. I'll see what else they can provide and take it from there. If there is only one agreement in place covering all cards and I didn't sign the PPI box on the original agreement then I assume I would have a reasonable case for mis-selling?

Sorry, in addition to the above, when I did the second HBOS loan application online I was not accepted online initally and had to phone a number to give further details. So this was a combination of online/telephone.

    Hi there
Depending how long ago this was, they may still hold the details of how and when this was sold, and possibly recordings and/or written transcrips of the telephone calls which can be useful;)

    Hi everyone :)

Lloyds TSB asked for ppi proof on two of the claims that i am making against credit cards on monday of last week, received a letter from them yesterday

Out of the six claims i have had two replys from Lloyds TSB cards and one Lloyds TSB loan.

The Lloyds TSB letters i have received are standard letters that they are dealing with my complaints.

I have also received a letter from Barclay card stating that they will contact me by June 8th.

I only started the ball rolling two weeks ago on the above claims so quite happy with the response that i have had so far.

Could anyone tell me if this is normal procedure and what do i expect next . I have tried looking back on the thread but the thread moves so fast that i find it hard keeping up, Sorry if this question has already been asked but i cant find anything on the thread and there are so many threads that i dont know what day it is :embarasse:D

    Hi again:D

It all seems to be normal procedure so far.
Now they have 8 weeks to give a decision, they may ask for more time.
You can also chase up lloyds here at anytime too.

When you do, remember to use the ref number CC/XXXXXX they have applied to your letters.

Some will give timescale, like they will be in touch on so and so date by letter.

In regards of lloyds credit cards, is it further evidence they require in order for them to make a reclaim, or is it copies of documents?

Thank you,for the link much appreciated :)

They asked me for proof that i was paying for PPi on my credit card with them, sent back a credit card statement to them with proof that i was paying PPi,received letter from them yesterday saying they are now looking into my claim.

The cards were payed off in 2005

Lioyds said they could not find my credit card details on the system at first so thats why they said they needed proof
I think they were playing games with me at first.

I rang M&S again today and was told that the agreement they sent me (with the account number I didn't recognise and was different to the Credit Card number) was all they had on file for me so would appear to cover my dealings with M&S from original Storecard in 1994 to replacement with Mastercard (and it's eventual closure in Sept 2010).

As the copy they sent me doesn't have the box ticked for PPI I can only assume that when they issued me with a Mastercard in Oct 2003 to replace the Storecard it must have been by post and the PPI added on the basis that If I didn't opt-out then by default I had opted in. I believe there was story in the newspapers at the time highlighting M&S's approach in moving people from Storecard to Mastercard.

I realise I could be clutching at straws but on this basis might I have a case for claiming I was missold as if I didn't think I needed PPI for 9 years on a Storecard why would I ask for it on the Mastercard? My employment status with the terms and conditions haven't changed (I've been with the same employer for 29 years with good sickness and redundancy benefits).

If I feel I have a case on these terms, would I be best completing the template questionnaire and sending it to M&S with a copy of the agreement they sent to me as supporting information?

One final question - I keep reading on the forum about organisations having to have been covered by the FSA or GISC(?) at the time of the original agreement or does that no longer apply following the judicial review decision?

    Regards

  • Hi all, new to the forum (although I've been using the site for ages), I've sent the PPI reclaiming questionnaire to HSBC both to the Canada Square offices and to the address given on the HSBC website for PPI reclaiming. That was on the 10th of this month and I just wondered if anyone had heard anything back from HSBC recently and what sort of timescale I should expect.

FYI I am 6 moths away from repaying £20,000+ and my reasons for reclaiming PPI are that I felt pressurised to have the insurance to receive the loan as it was suggested by bank staff that my finances were in such a poor state that a loan with PPI was my only option.

    Thanks for any advice!:D
