    Hi hun, your welcome.

what I would do personally, is ask GE to send details of any documentation they hold on you in regards of loans.co.uk, they must still hold them to inform you that it was loans.co.uk that arranged your loan.
I understand someone was in a similar position the other day on here, and they requested the details from the lender of who set up the account, and they sent them in the post.

    It does seem rather confusing.

Oh ok....I do have the original credit agreement copy, the PPI box was X'd not by us, but the person from loans.co.uk and I have the covering letter sent with it from loans.co.uk just saying: good news, your loan is complete yada..yada......so I will persue them myself? My GE letter today states 'to assist you, we have forwarded copy of my complaint to them'.....should I leave it a week or so or just go after them directly? Sorry for continuous questions, but I do NOT want them getting away with it, whoever is liable!!!
Keep Smiling :D - It makes people wonder what you're up to!!!

Letter on its way to them now, fully explaining the term of the ppi in comparison to the main loan, it was pre loaded, we did not need it and yes it was suggested that we used it as a savings account as long as w did not claim in the 5 years, as a matter of interest when it was paid off 3 years ago should they not have paid the half then.
When you paid the loan off you would have been given a small rebate for the remaining ppi and the rest of the ppi you paid back in settlement.

You only get the ppi back if you keep the loan for 5 years and do not get in arrears on the loan or make a claim on the ppi.

And guess what?............ if you took the 5 year cashback, the ppi would still be on your loan for the remaining term of the loan with interest!.

    Ask away, no worries.;)

Yes you can do if you want to, or contact them as you said after a week, such as if you've not had a acknowledgement letter to confirm your complaint has been passed on to them.
    Good luck.

  • Can anyone tell me if the right to pursue mis-selling of PPI ends with the death of the borrower? We would not be able to make a case based on what was said - or not said - but if a policy was sold that was unsuitable for a septuagenarian with serious health problems, would his executors/beneficiaries of the will be able to make a claim 2 years after his death?

Hi I put in a ppi claim to HSBC last November I have heard back from them twice telling that they were looking into it but were basically waiting for outcome at courts. Now that we know they aren't going to fight anymore how long do you think I should now wait to hear from them again or should I be pushing forward in another direction now.??

    Hi there

I think there is a good case here in my opinion with what your said, if there were pre med conditions at the time the policy was sold, then this would not be sufficient, so a claim could not be made on those grounds with these med conditions etc.
In regards of this executors/beneficiaries of the will via reclaiming, please also ask about this on a new thread as posted here so it won't be missed, someone is sure to have the answers of this part here.

In regards of a reclaim, complete the step 3 questionnaire, complete and send it to the ones who sold you the account, head office or complaints dept, keep copies and allow 8 weeks for a decision.

    Wishing you luck.

    Hi there

I was told from Lloyds they are unable to give a timescale, but are awaiting to hear from the regulators about the guidelines, then they tend to swiftly move on with the complaints.

Mine was also held up due to the JR, but there is no harm in you contacting them, chase it up, hopefully we won't be waiting too long now, good luck.;)

I've had a copy of my original Capital One application form thru the post today and yes, I did tick the box requesting PPI. At the time I was in a low-paid job, but I know it was never discussed with anyone from Capital One because it was one of those application forms that used to fall out of magazines.

So, is there any point me pursuing a claim when I have so evidently signed for it? As long as it's not costing me anything to do it, I don't mind giving it a go but if it's going to be a waste of time then obviously there's no point.

    Hi there

Even if you signed, you may still have valid reasons to make a reclaim, so its worth checking on the checklist below to make sure.
Remember though we all have to sign to get a loan, with one of mine it was an automated tick not done in pen then, but check below anyway, good luck.

    Hi there,

I've got 4 PPI claims that were on hold pending the outcome of the Judicial Review. I have 2 with Black Horse and 2 with Halifax (who are both part of Lloyds). Basically I sent letters off, about all my claims, weeks ago and i've emailed Halifax Customer Services twice, but had no response to any of them! Has anyone got an email address that will possibly give me a response? Possibly the CEO of Lloyds? And if so do you think I could write 1 email to the CEO regarding all 4 complaints, bearing in mind 2 are with Halifax and 2 with Black Horse? Hope this makes sense!!

    Thanks in advance X
