    Hi Emma

The £1 is sufficient for a copy of your agreement.

    Is this account settled/paid off?

However, what you could do is call into your local Barclays and they will be able to check your full details of any ppi or of any accounts you have taken out with them, but speak to the branch manager.
    Good luck.

Hi - wondered if anyone could help??

Both me and my hubby have completed the PPI questionnaire for mis-selling of loans, both ours were with Alliance & Leicester who were taken over by Abbey National and subsequently by Santander. So do I send our forms to Santander? Secondly, do I need to put a covering letter in with the questionnaires?
    Thanks - in advance

I would send to Santander, even though it would possibly be passed on to them if you did send to Abbey, but this will save on time, and a cover letter is not required unless you want to give even further details, its up to you of course, but the questionnaire is sufficient, good luck on your reclaiming and also post by recorded delivery.;)

Hi there this is my story so far:-

When we took out our mortgage with Halifax in 2003 my husband worked overseas, he was paid out of another country, and no tax or ni deductions were paid. We were told we would struggle to get mortgage without ppi (which we later find out wouldn,t have paid out in any event) I put the claim in November 2010 then there was the JR so i contacted the FOS who say they can't do anything until Halifax give a final response. I,ve been told i'm in a queue and they will get to mine eventually. Meantime Black Horse paid out on 2 loans because of the same circumstances back in October, has anyone had any success with Halifax am i to understand it is part of lloyds/blackhorse??
BTW the cheeky mare also sold us buildings and contents insurance we had to have for mortgage deal which wasn't worth claiming on and was an astronomical price compared to others?? Are u feeling my frustration yet??

These are the reasons for mis sell on a frontloaded ppi loan.

We/I believe we were mis sold the ppi on the above account number.
1)We/I were not told that the ppi was in effect another loan that was added to the original loan and was repayable over the loan term with interest.

    2) We/I were not told that the ppi only covered us for 5 years, but the ppi would still be on the loan to term end with interest.

    3) We/I were told that if we did not make a claim on the ppi ,after 5 years we would recieve the ppi as cashback, and to look on this as savings plan.. But were not told that the ppi would be on the loan to term end with interest and the cashback of ppi would not include the interest that we paid over the 5 years.
Unless you can prove without doubt that this PPI policy was fair, reasonable and suitable for my/our circumstances we/I will require you to rearrange the loan as if PPI had never been included on the aforementioned loan.

If you get crap back from norton, then send this.

Letter on its way to them now, fully explaining the term of the ppi in comparison to the main loan, it was pre loaded, we did not need it and yes it was suggested that we used it as a savings account as long as w did not claim in the 5 years, as a matter of interest when it was paid off 3 years ago should they not have paid the half then.
