Hiya
Thanks so much for the reply
We have done everything with the accounts he had running at the time he died, because correspondence was arriving for him after which is how we found out what and where they owed money, so it wasn't too much of a problem to sort that side of things, from all the debts there was just 2 cards with PPI that covers the death-but they are on hold until after the inquest when my friend will get a full death certificate (at the mo she only has an interim one).

I probably didn't make my query very clear, over the last 10 years they will have had lots of various personal loans and credit card loans (my friend was fully aware of the total they owed-there were no secrets-but she finds paperwork very very difficult) and her husband was paying one off with another to keep their heads above water.
I am sure they may have had PPI on lots of other borrowing over the last 6 years (or for years before). But with no records in the house, and because he has gone we have no way of finding out.
With an Experian report she may remember the name of the borrower and it's a start of finding out if he had protetion on anything else that may have been paid off pior to his death.

But would she be able to claim for someone who has passed away?

Can I just say my friend isn't coping emotionally, but financially she will be Ok because her husband worked for a really good employer.

Thank you to anyone anyone who can help?

xxx

Hiya

Your welcome.

I am sure I have came across an issue like this before and reclaims have been made, and there is no harm in requesting a Experian report.

What you could do for more answers on this - is post on a new/separate thread below link top expand this issue, and I'm sure someone will have experience of these matters, wishing your friend the best of luck and you too.;) xx

You may be able to email your complaint through as well, I emailed mine via Lloyds as well as Hardcopy post.
When emailed I did ask them to confirm receipt of my complained by email.

All the best.

Hi there

I think there are details on the link but think it may be an email form, but meanwhile I will check for these details for you.
http://www.barclays.co.uk/ContactUs/Howtocomplain/P1242558122337

This is the manager director email to Barclaycard, he is the Chief Executive Officer
david.chan@barclaycard.co.uk

That one maybe ok to use, but still searching for one that can be sent directly to the Customer Care, I would assume it would be passed on to them anyway, so ask for confirmation if you do use the above email, good luck.

Some sites give you the opportunity to complete the reclaim questionnaire on their website and email it into them after completion.

In March Barclays put 2 loan mis-selling complaints on hold due to JR and said I could send them FOS, which I did. I did not inform Barclays that I had done this but have had acknowledgement from FOS.

Does this now mean that Barclays will not deal with my complaints or can they do so and inform the FOS that this is the case. Obviously if I have to wait for FOS it will take a long time but hopefully they will not now be receiving so many complaints.

The others that were put on hold - ie M&S Money and Barclaycard - is it worth chasing them up or giving them some extra time. I rang RBS this morning to see if they had received my letter sent 9th May, which they hadn't. They said they are receiving so much post probably hasn't been logged yet so sent it again by fax.

Hi hun

As far as I know once its confirmed by the FOS that they have received your complaint, I understand they let the bank know, so from there the bank will just deal with the FOS.

And yes no harm done in chasing up on the others, it will also be a help to others as well if they know what is happening, its possible they may get back and say they are waiting for guidelines from the regulators before they continue, but it will be good to know.
Good luck x

Hi,
I sent the mse template letters to all my creditors not knowing if I had ppi with them all or not. Barclaycard have sent me what looks like a photocopied leaflet detailing the terms and conditions of the credit card. There is no mention of ppi anywhere. i was expecting a copy of my signed credit card agreement so i don't know if this is the correct information and I simply didn't have ppi or if Ive got the wrong thing?
I have since seen another template letter on the forum that requires a £10 cheque... I only sent £1 is that where I went wrong?
Help please

Emma
