Has anyone else claimed against Egg successfuly? Having read about this I'm not sure whether it was put on my cc or not. That cc defaulted last year and I have been making small payments when I can (sometimes just the £1 a month). I logged in today to try and see if there is any PPI on it but I can't seem to find any details about the account at all aside from the amount owed? Does anyone with a better knowledge of the online system know if I can find it?Mummy to beautiful 5yr old girl and a gorgeous 1yr old boy:D0

Hi there
I would write to EGG data dept or Head office, ask them to provide you with a copy of the agreement, enclose £1 cheque or postal order, ask they supply by 12 days.
If this account is still running, even though defaulted they will or should still hold the details. If sold ppi it will be enclosed on the agreement.
As soon as you know, and if sold and mis sold ppi, its just a matter of completing the reclaim questionnaire, as on step 3 below, keep copies and allow 8 weeks for a decision, good luck.

Hi Di3004,
Many thanks for quick response. Yes, Di, I have the account details, is it possible to have a handwritten Credit agreement rather than the typed one because that is what they sent me? All my other credit agreements are typed up. Well, I think I should head to FOS, maybe Santander might start listening to me.0 -
I rang my credit card bank to claim due to sickness. I wasn't given a 'sickness' option for some reason, only redundant or sacked. So I said redundant and was refused to claim. Thinking the PPI was missold I canceled the PPI withing minutes and asked for my money back but I was refused that too.
It was 2 years ago and unfortunately i am still ill. Can i claim my money back for what I've paid till the day of my phonecall with a reason: 'missold PPI' or can i complain that i wasn't treated fairly as I was not offered the right option during the conversation (which made me think claiming due to sickness was impossible) and ask for a full pay out like if i didn't cancel the PPI??
By the way I found out from their rep recently that I was able to claim due to sickness and this option should have been given to me.
*Confused*
Thanks in advance0 -

Hiya
That I am unsure, but the if you ring the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) they will tell you if these are sufficient or not.

To what I know of mine have all been printed/typed, and not hand-written so it maybe worth you getting some advice about this.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hello there
I would most certainly give it a go. You seem to have good reason here.
Complete the reclaim questionnaire - below link step 3, send it to their head office or complaints dept, keep a copy for yourself, and allow 8 weeks for a decision, keep at them, good luck.

You can ring egg, they gave me all the details I needed. There is no where on the website to view it.0 -
Thank you Di for all your help!
I went through all my paperwork and yesterday sent off 12 letters to different creditors claiming back my PPI. I found some paperwork for Natwest and it turns out in 2001 I took out a loan for £10K and they charged me £2250 PPI loaded upfront. Then in 2003 I took another loan out for £30K to clear the £10K and other debts and they charged me £5580 in PPI. Looking at some of my credit cards and storecards I estimate (very much a finger in the air guess) that I've been charged at least £18K in PPI. My God, that would almost pay off my mortgage. I really do hope I get something back. And to think I wasn't even going to bother because I thought the forms were too much hassle. More fool me!:j:j:j MY PPI JOURNEY :j:j:j
NATWEST BANK £12,426.51, BARCLAYCARD £4,161.76, MBNA £3,034.23, TESCO £458.020 -
