PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi HH
Personally I would not use a claims company anyway, lots on here have had hassle, when its pretty straight forward to have a go yourself, and I believe there is more paperwork involved if you go with a claims company, where all you really do need is your account number, and if you know you were sold and mis sold ppi you can continue to make a reclaim.
Follow the link below - step 3 reclaim questionnaire, send to the ones who sold you the account/head office, and keep copies, allow 8 weeks for a decision.
This way if successful you get to keep all your money.
Hope this helps and good luck.

There are people on this website who have more knowledge and experience around this than me...but I would think that the mis selling is based on why you agreed to sign for it..
Capital One told me the same thing, but I do recall the phone conversation with one of their representatives, and I felt compelled to accept it, however some important pieces of information were left out...no one told me the true cost, for one thing, also, no attempt was made to explore what other resources I had, such as sick pay etc....I don't think that you have anything to lose....;)0 -
Hello there
I had an egg loan that I took out in July 2003 which included ppi. In 2005 I realised that it was mis-sold due to pre-existing medical conditions and that it was pointless me having the insurance, so I cancelled it.
The loan itself was finally paid off September 2010.
I have all my paperwork - though not a copy of my original application form.
What chance do I have of reclaiming the bit of ppi I paid between 2003 and 2005?
Thank you for any advice you can give me.

Hi guys, and ladies of course, another newbie here we are all comin out now lol, anyway my case is over many years my wife and i have taken loans with various banks/lenders etc and thought well what the hell, we dug out most of our paperwork and was quite suprised at just how much we have paid in ppi, we have always been employed with sick pay etc so we got our heads together and tried to remember just how such deals were done, i think ours like most people had a document pushed under our nose looked at the monthly repayment and went ahead and even thanked them for their service it was the norm, last week friday, i filled out the forms available and logged complaints against Natwest-Northern Rock-Nottingham building society and the mighty Nemo who walloped us for 6k in ppi, that was paid off 2 years ago so let battle commence and fingers crossed with a little help from my new friends another customer may claim back what is theirs

Hello there Ros
Go for it, as long as you still have the account numbers that is fine, you do not actually need anything else as such.
Complete the reclaim questionnaire as on step 3 below, keep copies and send one to whoever sold you the account/head office or complaints dept, and allow 8 weeks, good luck.
