    Hi there,

Just wondered if someone is able to advise me please.

I took out mortgage PPI with Abbey National back in 2001 and continued to pay it until 2008, I found out I was being made redundant and called the company up to advise them.

I was informed that as I was receiving a redundancy payment and payment in lieu of notice I wasn't eligible to claim until my notice period payment had ended and that I would also only receive 50% of the mortgage payment as my husband was still working.

I then cancelled the policy and wanted to know whether it would be worth claiming as we were not advised that should we need to claim, the amount would be halved?

I also had a large loan over 6 years ago (but less than 10) with Lombard and was automatically charged PPI without being made aware of it and want to know whether it would be worth reclaiming this given the length of time ago it happened?

    Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Zoe

    Hi guys,

I got a loan out with Halifax around 4 years ago now and when I took it out I was pressured into getting it by them saying what if something happens to me and someone in my family is left to pay it? I didnt want the loan insurance but because they said that it made me think I best take it as I felt guilty in case something happened.

Do I have any grounds to reclaim the money back?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi

I think a few have received these letters now, the FSA requires them to get on with them as soon as possible, but you could try contacting the FSA to have this clarified yourself just in case, good luck.;)
I phoned the FSA to make them aware of the fact that they are being named by RBS as the reason claims are still on hold, but have recieved a letter from them today stating that it is not on hold and they will be dealing with it in due course. Phoned them this morning and they made not mention that the letter (dated 11th of May) was on its way. At least a decision may be reached soon

Has anyone got either the address for sending PPI claim or link to alliance & leicester, also these then changed their letters to show MBNA on the front page not santander.

    cheers in advance.
Think you have to send it to whoever set the account up, so that would be santander now, as they took over A&L. This is where i did my complaint.

    Hello!

I am a bit confused now. After complaining to Barclays about my missold PPI I received a letter that my claim has been put on hold (I downloaded the form for this from your website). I am just wondering, am I waiting now until Barclays contacts me again after all the new developments, or do I still go on to complain to the Ombudsman and is it worth me getting in contact with Barclays to remind them that I still have a claim outstanding?

Any advice would be very much appreciated. :)

    Hi there

How long ago did you receive that letter?

Banks are now to continue with complaints because the BBA are not going to appeal.
If this letter was sent out before 9 May, give them a ring, or ring them anyway and ask them when should you hear of an update of your reclaim, now complaints are no longer on hold.
    Good luck.

Looking hopeful then, fingers crossed, let us know when you hear, cheers for that.;)
