Yes you can still enter a complaint to the bank or credit card company that sold you the debt. However any money you do get is likely to be used to pay off your outstanding debt0

Is it worth doing anything myself at this late stage , or am I best to just wait for the due processes to complete the cycle?
Belmont Thornton are NOT good to deal with-so anyone-DO NOT GO THERE!
Who is your claim with?.0 -

They then ceased trading and I was so fed up I decided to act for myself...In following up my claims, I found a letter from one of the banks saying I had no case...the letter was seven months old!! The company acting for me had not even let me know..so now I am taking responsibility for my own claims...and last week got a result of £2,500 from RBS within eight weeks, goodness only knows what these companies do when they say they are "acting on our behalf"
:D Please do not be too hard on these cmcs
They will have taken time on putting a claim in
It cannot be easy to fill a template letter in and go to the post office, then if the response is not favourable write a letter back and have to go to the post office again!! :eek:by this stage they must be pulling their hair out :rotfl::rotfl:it is very hard slog what they do and they only charge 25% plus vatso please dont be too harsh in future, and think of the hard work that goes into putting a claim in and then they have to bank the fee, so that is a trip to the bank to put the cheque in:D Shame on you :rotfl:

We are in a similar position, surely you should be allowed to distribute it between all creditors, as otherwise you are giving the bank or credit card company preferential treatment? Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -

Hi there
Yes try contacting them tomorrow and give them as many details as possible, try that first, but otherwise send with as many details anyway, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
The only thing that bothers me is that mine was so long ago (2003), in the midst of changing jobs and relationship breakdown, that I can't remember some of the details that the questionnaire asks for. I certainly don't have a separate policy that I'm aware of. I haven't kept any statements from that far back and since they went paperless. I know two things about my application: 1) it was a leaflet which fell out of a magazine or came thru my door and 2) in truth I never expected to get accepted (it was a test after my debt-ridden ex- left, to see if his leaving had made any difference to my own credit rating). I know I will have spoken to someone to 'activate' the card (and it only had a miniscule limit) but that's the point where I traditionally decline all the add-ons they try to offer.SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

Hi there
Complete to the best of your knowledge.
For example with mine, I used to think PPI was all part of a loan or credit card, because it was automatically added, and it was never discussed with me.
Have you also checked the mis selling checklist?
(Expand the list as well)

Maybe it would be worth ringing the dmp company and asking them what would happen, I remember when I had a dmp that it was important not to favour one creditor over another.
I was thinking earlier, as the debt is probably now with a dca the bank who sold you the loan/cc would have to pay you directly as they no longer have that debt as they have sold it on to the dca.0
