happy to help but need a bit more information.
from the posts it looks like you friend had defaulted on the loan, in order to come to some figures i need to know the following information.
how many monthly payments were made before the loan was passed on to a collection agency, and were they for the full amount.
how much were the total charges that were added for defaults.
and of course how much was the debt when it was passed on and has it now been settled.
i can then give a guide to how much would be due back.
hi,
sorry it has taken a while, but I had to meet up with her and go through her paperwork, it appears this is what and when she paid, (sorry it is quite a long post)
12/1999 - £115.45
1/2000 - £116
10/2001 -£5
11/2001 - 1/2002 - £30 per month
3/2002 -4/2002 - £30 per month
6/2002 - £2
9/2002 - £13
9/2002 - £10
Total paid to Nationwide £411.45,
These payments all went to Nationwide, my friend then and she admits stupidly tried ignoring letters etc and was trying to survive after her partner had walked out on her, but thats another story so I shall not judge her,and then finally started paying the dca Roxburghe in 2005, payments to them as follows,
3/8/2005 - £30
31/8/2005 - £30
9/2005 - 12/2005- £30 per month
1/2006 - 2/2006- £5 per month
3/2006 - 4/2006- £30 per month
5/2006 - 6/2006 - £5 per month
7/2006 - 8/2006 - £10 per month
8/2006 - £10
9/2006 - £5
10/2006 - £6505 (this was what Roxburghe agreed to as a settlement figure)
Total paid to Roxburghe £6790.
On looking at the loan statement she received in 2005 with all transactions on it between 11/1999 and 7/2003 it seems that there is approx £865 of late charges and it says that the balance is £10151.58 and amount of arrears is £4668.35. I hope these figures mean something to you as I am stumped by it all,. Any help from you very much appreciated thank you in advance.

Hi i am a newbie to this site, even though i have been reading the posts occasionally. Can anyone tell me if this seems right. We have put in 2 claims for ppi that has gone on for a year now.It has gone to the fos due to taking so long for a reply from them.
Even though we have been claiming for a year we were still paying our ppi insurance as we thought it would jeopadise our claim, anyway we were informed that it wouldnt so we went ahead and cancelled it.The ppi payment was £55 a month,we received a letter yesterday saying the payment has been cancelled and instead of paying £287 a month for our loan our payments have gone down to £274 a month. That being a drop of £13 a month and not £55 as we had been paying. We phoned them and they said that near the end of the loan the ppi payments go down and thats what we were paying,We said that we thought it was a fixed payment for the length of the loan payment but they couldnt quite see what our problem was with it.If this is understandable can anyone tell me if this is right.Confused or what0 -

As you now know the monthly amount for ppi does not come down when you cancel.
When you cancelled the ppi ddi your loan stay at the same term and apr?.
If you had waited for the mis sell result, your loan monthly payment would have been reduced by the ppi amount and the total ppi would have come off your loan balance.0 -
Hi all
I'm new to this forum so if I'm posting in the wrong section please excuse me and reply kindly?
Over the last 6 and more years I have had several finance arrangement with Black Horse, HFC, Lloyds etc etc for a sofa suite, computers and cars I have bought.
On all of these I took out the extra Insurance to cover sickness and redundancy. I knew it was not mandatory but it was always highly recommeded in case I was ill, unable to work or out of a job.
I work for Metropolitan Police and as such get paid sick leave. I am also quite unlikely to be made redundant (although never say never).
Do I have a claim to reclaim the Insurance I paid on any of these arrangements but didn't actually need, so to speak?
All sensible helpful answers are very welcome.
Many thanks

For reasons for mis sell, if any/all apply to you then put a claim in

Yes its fab news!:T:T
So for anyone who believe they have been mis sold, I would even give them a try on older loan ppi, go for it. Even though they are meant to contact you in due course, it may take some time, so start the ball rolling yourself.;)
The ones currently ongoing with the bank, you should not have to do anything.
Ones who have gone to the FOS, they will continue in the normal manner.
Good luck all.
Lets hope we all get the answers and the money soon. xFootiemad:footie: 2013 - SPC no.1147...Keeep potting!!

Can I claim any of the interest and fees back from either of these companies?i have been looking at some of the interest thatI have paid off and the fees seem extotionate. At the time I was pretty desperate to clear my outstanding debts of and the broker who arranged it for me at the time just said thats the fee that they are charging and the interest is correct.
