Hi
I have been reading posts for a while, many success stories, and now I would like to be one of them, just I have a question (of course)
I have read the questionaire which needs to be filled and I do not see how that questionaire will prove that I was miss sold?? If we borrowing money that means we do not have them, and if we don't have them, then if we are sick or jobless we couldn't pay back the bank.
Thank you in advance.0 -
I hope I am at the right place and I apologise if this question has already been answered! I had a morgan stanley credit card 6 years ago which I paid PPI on. Just over 5 years ago I was signed of work with depression and when I contacted Morgan stanley to say I could not keep up with my payments and could my insurance be used, they said depression was not covered! To cut a long story short, morgan stanley was taken over by barclaycard so I can still make a claim? And who would I contact? I really hope someone can advice me!0

Hi All
Can someone help please.
I would like to claim missold PPI on a couple of credit cards which still have balances on them but the problem is I am a bit confused :-/
The first card was taken out with Alliance and Leicester which has since been taken over by MBNA and the other was taken out with Morgan Stanley which was taken over by Goldfish and then by Barclaycard!
So can someone tell me who I should be contacting - the people we originally had the cards with or the new owners! (so to speak).
Thanks for your help.
Hi All
Did anyone have a conclusion for this ? I also took out PPI against my Morgan Stanley card in 2001, anyway i stopped paying it (about 25 pounds a month) as i didnt understand why i needed it, just before the card was transferred to Barclaycard in 2009 (i think?)
Does this PPI act also cover Credit Cards and whom would i need to contact ? Morgan Stanley or Barclay Card? I dont even have any idea of what my Morgan Stanley account number was.
Regards

Hi there
On the questionnaire they give the opportunity to give your reasons.
Its best to have protection on loans/credit cards etc, but they do not have to be with the lender, there are stand alone ppi which do tend to be cheaper, but always check the policy suits your full requirements etc.
There are lots of reasons for being mis sold, if any of them apply to you make sure you enclose them on the reclaim questionnaire.

Hi and welcome
PPI can apply to loans/credit cards/store cards/catologues/car finance and so on.
Even if you did cancel and if mis sold you can still make a reclaim on what you have paid into the account plus interest.
If you any old statements, the account number would be enclosed on them, but otherwise you could contact them with any details you may have and ask if they are able to supply them to you.
But if this was passed on to Barclaycard its possible they would hold the details.

My late husband and I had a joint loan with his bank through his account we did have ppi but when he died in 2007 i was unable to make a claim as the ppi was only in my name and i became responsible for paying the whole loan myself. I no longer have the account details as it was his account and the bank would not assist me in any way as the account was only in my husbands name. would I be able to reclaim the ppi as it was no good to me and we were not told at the time that it was only me who was covered we were also told we had to take it to proceed with the loan application and if so how would i go about getting the T&C from the bank.
Nov 26th 2011
Got a final response today upholding my complaint, due £1784.03 but getting £0.00 as I had made a successful claim for sickness for £3114.90. Death benefit did not cover my late husband as I was first named borrower.0 -

Hello and welcome
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved husband.
I would be inclined to write to the bank's head office and explain the situation by letter and also try making a reclaim with your reasons.
The loan PPI was totally worthless to you and you were given mis leading information when the policy was taken out.
So complete the reclaiming questionnaire, send to the head office or if you know details of their complaints dept, keep a copy for yourself, and they are allowed 8 weeks to send a decision.
Step 3 below to the reclaim questionnaire....

If you do not have the facilities to print the questionnaire, you could contact the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) and ask them to post the appropriate reclaim questionnaire directly to you, or even ask them to do this on your behalf if you want to.
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/contact/index.html
However, you do not need to write to them if you don't want to, the questionnaire is sufficient enough.;)
Hope this helps and please keep us posted on your reclaim, good luck xThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Thank you so much Dizzy Di
I found couple grounds, but the best one for me is /It's a common complaint that consumers are told they must buy a policy from the same provider as the loan in order to be accepted for the product. This is mis-selling./ I even have the forms signed and till today even I didn't know that you can buy Insurance elsewhere. So that means I have a case? I also bought a car and paid it off now. Can I claim from them as well?
Thank you again for any thoughts0
