  • Hi Guys, hope you can help!

I had a PPI claim that was not upheld by the FOS last year in relation to PPI I had on my HSBC credit card. In light of the news today, is it worth me writing to HSBC again to re-reclaim.

    Thanks in advance

I received £3750 refund from Halifax thanks to following your advice and template. This was about 18 months ago. The loan is still in place can I receive compensation from Halifax for this mis sell?

    Hi there

Yes you can depending on your reasons, but please be aware if a successful claim have already been made, the refund will be reduced.

    Hi Steve and welcome
It maybe the case of them going back to it anyway, but in your case I would contact the FOS again on this and see what their own suggestions are, hopefully it will be a better outcome this time round, good luck.

    Hiya

Do not use a claims company, they will only end up charging you, this is quite straight forward, and its just a matter of completing a reclaim questionnaire - if you were to have another go.

Complete and send the reclaim to the head office or complaints dept, allow 8 weeks for a decision, and remember to save copies of paperwork sent and received, good luck.

    Hi there
If it were Welcome that sold and set up your account, then you now make a claim through the Financial compensation scheme (FSCS).
Contact them for a claim form.
    http://www.fscs.org.uk/contact-us/

If you were sold the account after Jan 2005, the FSCS will deal with it, as they were regulated by the FSA, but if prior to that, I would contact the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) who will suggest another avenue.
    Normally the underwriter/insurer.
    Good luck.
