    Hiya

The template letter was replaced by a FOS reclaiming questionnaire, this is said to save time, for example, complete the questionnaire, send to Lloyds, keep a copy for yourself and another in case you need to complain to the FOS, for example if your not happy with the final outcome of your complaint.

However, you can optionally write a letter of your own words if you prefer, which is said to be a better success rate than using a standard template letter.
A template letter can be useful, there is one below, but if you decide to want to write a letter just use the template as a guide and make sure that you write all that applies to you.

    Questionnaire here........

the same as lloyds website - ppi complaints here.....

    http://www.lloydstsb.com/payment_protection_insurance_complaints.asp

And guideance to a letter here......

    Hope these help.;)

i remortgaged through a mortgage advice company(who we had used before) and they advised us to take out ppi as a lump sum which was then added to the cost of our mortgage.
The original ppi company is apparently a brokerage and the actual insurer has now been taken over so who do i send my letter to? as the original company has been taken over will they say its not their problem?
i want to try and do this as quickly and painlessly as possible so who is the best bet to send it to or should i call them and find out?
    thanks:eek:

    Hi and welcome

I would post about this one on a separate thread, so Dunstonh and or MagpieCottage will be able to help on.
Stay within these reclaiming threads and subject "Mortgage PPI help please".;)
They have more experience in mortgage ppi matters, good luck with this.

From the BBC Business news website...
    Customer claims

Lloyds has thousands of PPI complaints stacked up.

These will now be processed, the bank says, after having been put on hold while the recent High Court case reached its conclusion.

All other customers of Lloyds, including those of the former HBOS bank, are now being invited to contact the bank if they think they have a claim.

At this stage it is not clear if the bank will send letters to all past PPI customers, of whom there could be several million.

Nor is it revealing exactly how it has quantified the eventual cost as being £3.2bn.
Think it's going to be that simple and all our claims on hold are going to be released?

Hope it does, the banks should pay out and that will be the end of this saga, then they can get on with running the banks. Start with a clean slate.
