there is no news from Barclays,

so far only Lloyds have confirmed that they are not going to pursue any appeal, and have set a side a fund to re-pay miss-sold PPI,

i would imagine over the next few days the other banks will announce what they are proposing to do.
I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free

    Same as lloyds....

What does the outcome of the Judicial Review mean for my PPI Complaint?
We are no longer supporting the British Bankers’ Association’s Judicial Review.

We are now reassessing the complaints that we have already received and dealing with them in a swift and timely manner.

Those customers who have not complained but have concerns about their PPI policy should contact us directly using the details above.

Apologies if something like this has been asked before but I really don't have the time to read 500+ pages of forum posts!! :D

    Simple question:

If we go down the route of having a "no win, no fee" company look into reclaiming PPI for us, could there be any repercusions - does it look back on our record or credit rating or anything like that?

    And another quickie question:

Has anyone used the "We Can Claim It" group (one of the "no win, no fee" companies) - based in Blaydon, Gateshead? (just to compare experiences really) - we've got ample paperwork to be getting on with so any help or responses to my questions much appreciated before we post it all off again.

    And one last one:

The fee we'd be paying (if we won) to use this company (above) is 29.5% - has anyone had any hidden costs or anything thrown in without their prior knowledge? I've read the T&Cs and the small print and can't find anything to indicate this (aside from saying that if we have been mis-sold PPI then when we "win" the case the bank/etc would naturally stop the PPI and it'd be up to source our own (reputable) one if we wanted to) - anything else I should be vigilant for?

    Hi SarahLou,

I wouldn't use a company to claim for you - use the templates on this site, post as many questions as you need and keep any money you gain for all your hard work!!!! Folk on this forum are great and will help you in anyway they can. I only just sent off a PPI claim on 20th April, and they've already agreed to pay it back with interest!!! All that for 2hrs time and £1.23 recorded signed for delivery. Bargain!!!!;)

    Hiya

I am not 100% but I believe some are making reclaims even from the 90's since learning of the Judicial Review of past sales etc.
My 2 with lloyds are as from late 90's to 2001 and they are investigating.
In my opinion I say give it a go and see what happens, good luck.
