    Hiya

I would write back and ask how they got the details of the telephone call and how would they know if you agreed to it if they no longer have a copy these, keep at them I would.;)

Thanks Di, I knew I could count on you.

    Thanks again

    Hi there,

Got a response from Capital One showing the signed loan agreement with payment protection box ticked, and so have said I was given every chance to understand the agreement conditions, however my challenge was that I felt I had to take the payment protection...is it worth going to the Financial Ombudsman?

I did half expect a negative response, but still a bit dispiriting...

( The letter was obviously a "cut and paste" job...they even had someone else's name in one of the paragraphs!)

What paperwork should I send to the Ombudsman...?

Thanks again for all help received here, otherwise would be tempted to give up!:(

    Hi there

If that was not the final decision, then you could ask them to reconsider.

Just because it shows you signed and accepted it does not mean you were not mis sold, you may have been other reasons, and remember we all have these agreements showing ppi was opted for, but it does not give reason for them to decline on this, depending on your reasons for being mis sold.

Keep at them, of if you have received the final decision, complain to the FOS.

    Good luck.

    Thanks, Di,

They did say that they would not review their decision...so it seems that it's the ombusdman...should I use the same form I sent to them, form the reclaim page?

Suppose I have nothing to lose...

Just have to keep trying...( and smiling :) )

    Hiya

I see, yes send them a copy of the form you originally used.;)
And enclose copies of letters you received from the business as well, good luck.

    Hi everyone,

Just heard back from the FOS today, Lloyds TSB have so far failed to respond to the adjudicators decision in my favour. As a result my case has now been passed to the Ombudsman, does anyone know what the current waiting period to hear back is?

    Thanks for all your help.

Hi,i have a ppi mis-selling claim with the ombudsman to which my adjudicator upheld in my favour, although the company that i was claiming against did,nt agree so it was passed to senior ombudsman. That was in november and it was also agreed to be fast tracked and i am now still waiting

    Hiya

When was the last time you received any letter updates?
Normally they send them about every 2 months - just to let you know where they are with your complaint.
I would either give them a ring or leave them an email otherwise, it may be quicker to ring them though.
    Good luck.

Hi - thanks to everyone on this board, I have started the process of reclaiming back my PPI payments with Barclays where I have a secured loan. I sent my letter on Feb 7, 2011 and Barclays has responded on Feb 10 stating that they will look at my complaint and will get back to me no later than March 8.

I got a letter dated on March 4 notifying me that in order to help them resolve the matter they need to fully complete their investigation . They also noted that they remain committed to resolve my complaint as quickly as they can and will contact me again by April 4.

    Still early days but... :D

I will wait for their next correspondence before deciding what action I will take.

    Regards

Well done on taking the plunge and hope you get some good news soon. :)
