PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi everyone ive not posted for a while but i think ive reached the end of the line with no success. ive tried to claim from southern pacific loans for a mis sold ppi through a claims company which went to the fos with no success as they were not regulated at the time of the loan . We were then told to try and claim from the insurance company who were regulated but they have said they are not responsible for the way the ppi's are sold so we have now hit a brick wall . it just seems so unfair that we have paid £7000 out for no reason . What is really annoying is that less than a year after we took the loan out we had the loan added on to our mortgage. Does anyone know if there are any other routes we could go down or is that it ???
thanks0 -
Hi everyone ive not posted for a while but i think ive reached the end of the line with no success. ive tried to claim from southern pacific loans for a mis sold ppi through a claims companyHave you finished with the company now? or do you still pay them if you carry on your self? as if you are going to have to pay the company then tell them to go to fos as i have said below and find out who the underwriters are. which went to the fos with no success as they were not regulated at the time of the loan . We were then told to try and claim from the insurance company who were regulated but they have said they are not responsible for the way the ppi's are sold so we have now hit a brick wall .
You can now take this to fos as the insurer was regulated, could you find out who the underwriter was? as this is maybe another route you can go down.

I hope this is ppi you mean and not what you have paid the claims company !! . What is really annoying is that less than a year after we took the loan out we had the loan added on to our mortgage. Does anyone know if there are any other routes we could go down or is that it ???

hi well done on your win how long from start did it take for an offer? i have 2 claims with them at the moment. did you get refused at the begining?
thanks for any reply
I've got an ongoing complaint with RBS at present which I originally sent to them in October 2010....I have decided to wait for the outcome of the JR review before going to the FOS but i've heard nothing since December. I may try emailing RBS as I feel I should maybe have received some sort of courtesy correspondence?0 -
Hi - thanks to everyone on this board, I have started the process of reclaiming back my PPI payments with Barclays where I have a secured loan. I sent my letter on Feb 7, 2011 and Barclays has responded on Feb 10 stating that they will look at my complaint and will get back to me no later than March 8.
I got a letter dated on March 4 notifying me that in order to help them resolve the matter they need to fully complete their investigation . They also noted that they remain committed to resolve my complaint as quickly as they can and will contact me again by April 4.
Still early days but...
I will wait for their next correspondence before deciding what action I will take.

Hiya
My 2 are still sitting with the bank via Lloyds since before Xmas, infact around the same time as yours really, and am waiting to see what happens over the next month, hopefully we will have some sort of decision on the JR issue.
Good luck with yours too.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi there, have they sent you a letter saying your claim is on hold or have you heard nothing at all since october?.If you have had a letter putting your complaint on hold, the contact rbs, tell them you are not happy with this decision and that you will take it to fos,you never know this may just work, a poster on here (carpy) did just that and 2 weeks later he was paid out.
hiya, thanks for your response. Sorry I probably didn't explain properly. I got the usual letter when I lodged my complaint saying they would look into it etc...I then got a letter at the 8 week stage saying that the matter was on hold until after the JR review. I decided to hold off going to the FOS until after the review simply because i've heard they're struggling due to the sheer volume of complaints so I thought it may be quicker to leave it with RBS. After carpy's success though I will be writing a first class letter tomorrow. What annoys me more is that it took from June - Sept 2010 to get copies of my original loan paperwork and if RBS hadn't have stalled and delayed so much this matter would most probably have been settled by now!0 -
