Thank you. Thats made it clearer to me. I have all my original paper work so don't have to send off for that.

I'll let you know how I get on. This is a great site.

Nice to realise your not alone in these strange times.

  • Hi There,

Does anyone know what is going on with the court battle?
Has any decision been made as yet? I have many claims on hold pending the outcome of this court battle.

    Thanks

    Hiya

No decision made up to now unfortunately, but sure I did read it can be anytime now or maybe by the end of March, but please don't quote me on this just in case, but keep a check on the FSA website as well.

I have 2 still sitting with Lloyds.:)

  • Hi all,

Having read all the PPI claim success stories, i went ahead and made a claim against LLoyds TSB on a loan i currently have with them (still waiting a decisson). I cancelled the PPI a couple of months back. I was originally paying £79 for the loan and £27 for the PPI(£106 monthly total). When i cancelled the PPI i was expecting to pay just the £79 but am paying £90. They seem to have give me a new loan for the remainder of the balance but with a higher APR. Are they entitled to do this or should i just be paying the £79.

Hi there, this is what happens when you cancel the ppi i am afraid. You would have been better waiting for the mis sell conclusion first. If you win mis sell then you could possibly use some of this to reduce the new loan balance.

    Hiya

First of all good luck on your reclaiming.
They do normally have 8 weeks to give a decision but may ask for more time, they are all over-run with these complaints at the moment, so it may take a little longer than expected.
    Fingers crossed for you.;)

  • Thanks amersall, it was just niggling away at me thinking i might be paying more than i should of.
  • Egg uphelp my complaint but said i had to wait for the outcome of the judicial review so after so advice from some of you on here ive taken it to the FOS. Just wondered if someone knew whether the FOS will have to do a full investigation or whether as i have a letter from egg saying the complaint was upheld they can just enforce it?

    thanks

    Hi there

They will review your complaint and get in touch with EGG in due course, but it may take some time unfortunately. Due to very high volumes of complaints, but hopefully you will hear sooner rather than later, good luck.;)
