I dont think it was that one, it was very similar to that though but it was one that related to both loans and credit cards and you had to delete as appropriate. I used it to contact 4 different places, 2 replied with the information free and 1 asked for a payment of £10 which is fair enough.
  • Hi,

Sorry if this has already been covered (I've tried to read back but there are alot of pages!). i printed the letters from here - thanks Martin (!) - and had a letter back from Egg saying they have upheld my claim. They have then said that they dont know how much I'll be getting as they are waiting for a court ruling. I am aware that the high court are looking into PPI, but how come some banks etc are paying out but not Egg? Do I have a case for putting some pressure on them to pay or am i better off waiting? Thanks.

:j:j Well done on your win :beer::money:
You can now send this to fos with a copy of the upheld letter and the reply Egg have just given you, there is no point putting pressure on Egg as they will not move.

The offer was PPI plus interest for the past 6 years, but the account was opened in 1989 and was used very much more prior to the last 6 years when mostly cleared.

I wondered what the position was as HFC have obviously taken over this account from Beneficial Bank, the original card provider. Do they then take on the responsibility for PPI for the whole term the card was running or am I lucky to be offered the past 6 years PPI plus interest?

    Hiya

Now this i am not too certain as I have never been in the situation where one company have taken over another, I assumed the responsibilty would be those of Beneficial bank, but on the otherhand I'm sure HFC would still have all the details on data, so maybe it would be left to them to work this out.;)

  • Hi, I wondered if anyone could help with my PPI questions. Its all a bit of a mine field for me and I don't know where to start.

I have read the advice and such on here. I have taken out 2 loans and various store cards over the past few years - starting really from 2005 to the last one being taken out in 2009. All of these had PPI on as I was told i needed it and wouldn't get it without etc.. I have definatly been missold it seems.

I fell behind with my repayments and a debt management company took over the payments last year. Each company gets a bit of the money each month and it works well for all parties.

I have paid off one of the loans before taking out debt management and the others still are being paid off for the next few years. Do I still have a case even though I still owe money?

What do I do to claim? How do I go about it?

Any advice would be fantastic and I would be really grateful.

    Thanks

  • Hi

Could anyone advise as to whether you can put a claim in for PPI paid on a Mortgage if you believe it was mis-sold or is it just on loans, credit & store cards.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi and welcome

It makes no difference at all if you still owe money or not, you can still make a reclaim, you pursue the ones who set up and sold you the accounts from the start, even if for example it was taken over by a debt company, you still pursue as stated above.

You do this by completing the reclaiming questionnaire/this replaced the template letter on this site.
Remember to keep copies of everything in case you need to go back to them at some point.

They normally have 8 weeks, you may hear of a decision before that timescale or you may receive a letter to ask for more time, but they should keep you well informed.

The reclaiming questionnaire you will find here - stage one of reclaiming.

    Hope this helps, good luck.:)

    Hiya

And yes I believe you can.
Dunstonh is the one that can help with this, if you stay within the PPI reclaiming threads, I would post your very own thread, it won't get missed and dunstonh should be along to give some advice on this.
You can subject it as "Mortgage PPI help wanted".

    Good luck.;)
