Hubby phoned Central Capital they said need to ask GE Money as they funded PPI with loan,so contacted them and would you guess they said NOT entitled to proportionate rebate of PPI as something to do with because he paid PPI as single premium at start of loan.0 -
Thanks for your message Di. My original letter to them was sent registered post and arrived on the 12th December (over 8 weeks ago). Their reply was dated the 17th December which (I think) is exactly eight weeks ago from tomorrow.0

Hiya
Not a problem, give them a few more days, it could be due to post or maybe delayed due to high volumes of complaints.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Evening all,
Recieved a letter today from Adjudicator saying that she had had sent letter to NatWest (RBS) stating she upheld my claim and also asked for the them to pay £200 compensation. RBS have rejected the decision and therefore it will go before ombudsman. If I wish to send further information I can, not sure if I have any though. What are the chances of an overall victory? Bit disappointed as with my reasons and the decision I believed RBS might cough up.0 -

Hiya
Its highly likely the Ombudsman will agree to the Adjudicators decision.
I can understand the disappointment, but remember the interest is adding up as well, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Your welcome.
I bet it is very frustrating for you, I am sure I heard or read somewhere they do tend to hold back, but hopefully you will hear some good news sooner rather than later.
Please keep us posted, cheers.
When you hear from the ombudsman's assistant, let us know, we can then take it from there, as said its likely it will be upheld in your favour anyway and when all documentation is signed for by yourself that the ombudsman will send you, they then send to the bank and give them normally a few weeks to get in touch with you about the refund.
If you hear nothing within that given timescale, you then contact the fos in order for them to chase it up for you.The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks again Di. Fingers crossed and will keep you updated.0

Hi PPI_Technichal_Expert

Excellent! Just as I suspected. As you were consolidating debt there was a need for flexibility in relation to the ppi, and as they advised the policy for you (as it was central trust I am assuming this is the case) they should not have recommended a policy that did not offer a pro rata rebate. This will be a straight up uphold at the ombudsman service provided that this was a recommended sale. Would you like me to write a paragraph and personal email it to you? Can you remember them recommending the policy for you? What was the loan term and how much was the ppi for? Cheers0
