  • Help...

My partner has received a letter today regarding our claim against Tesco PF.
It say's that they have been corresponding with me over the sale of the insurance policy and that as the insurance only covers him any future correspondence will be adressed to him and that if they ultimately pay any sum this will be paid to him solely.

This does not bother us but are they going to make us start the whole process again as it was myself who dealt with it in the first instance and not my partner.

They have sent a copy of this letter to the FOS

The loan was in joint names

    Hiya hun

    Hope your well.;)

Blimey I thought this was sorted ?

What are they playing at........start the whole process again ????

Do you know why they are doing this hun?, have the fully explained why to you, sorry I am baffled with this one myself, and hope someone can give some good advice on this one for you.

I do hope this is resolved soon, and wish I had some answers here for you, afterall you have been dealing with this as you are joint, so I cannot see a problem with that, so why start again ?? I am baffled......

They say as the insurance is in his name they will only correspond with him, which is fine.
I will have to ring the FOS on Monday.
I only hope that we do not have to start the whole process again

Sorry I have to go to work now but will be on tonight if anyone can give me some advice on this it would be a great help

hi every one, does anyone know what would happen if i sold my property and took the 11,000 ppi off (i no longer have i cancelled it) with fp. am i correct in thinking that the ppi is not secured on the property? could i pay this back to fp over a period of time as an usecured loan( this 11,000 as put my property into negative equity) any ideas? and also where would i stand from a legal point of view as in essence i am paying the secured loan back

    Hi Showergirl

It seems a little silly if they do this, well I think so anyway, but yes ring the FOS on Monday and see what they have to say, hopefully you will receive other posts as well, fingers crossed.;)

    Hi amersall.

Not too sure sure on this one to be honest, maybe one of the others that have done this or may know of someone else who have done this would be able to confirm this to you.

I take it you have a complaint about PPI which have not been resolved yet?

When I remortgaged in 2007 as I was waiting for this to be resolved with the FOS, Nemo included the whole amount of PPI in the settlement, as this was totalled in with the loan, and I had cancelled this as well which only reduced my loan by approx £14 a month.

Sorry if I have mis read this hun, but do you think FP will let you know what your options are here?
With a bit of luck someone who have been through this will post up soon, meanwhile if I come across anything similar I will let you know.;)

hi di thanks for that-. guy who won on first plus site said ppi is not secured on your property, although i have a ppi claim out standing that is not the reason i wanted to know about this, i want to find out if i can just pay the secured loan back and the ppi can be done as a seperate unsecured loan, this 11.000 has taken me into negative equity.if they repossess (nowhere near that) thank god, fp lose out as they cannot take that ppi as it is not secured ,they will lose out more that way than by giving me the11,000 as an unsecured loan does this make sense?

    HELLO,

I can only think that if the insurance is in your other half's name then they wont be able to deal with you direct under the data protection act,

Even if the loan is in joint names they can only disclose info about you,and your other half will have to ask for anything relating to himself,

I had the same problem with hfc and the sars, they wanted loads and loads of proof for my wife id and the like but seen as she has never spoke to hfc and didnt no anything about the loan i just got the info on myself and anything that had my wifes info on was crossed out
:j Let him who be deceived ,be deceived:j

    Hi amersall

I see what you mean.......and of course I cant' see any reason of why you should not be able to put this ppi amount into a unsecured loan, if this bit is not secured on the property this should be okay from what I can gather from this.
I hope someone can confirm this for you as well hun, I am checking on other sites as well in case anyone else had posted on issues like yours.

But yes I do see what you mean and hope this can be done.;) It should be treated separately anyway from the loan. X
