PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi
I got a personal loan some 7 or 8 years ago with HSBC and went in for the payment protection plan. A few years into the loan my girlfriend and I decided to consolidate her loan and mine with HSBC, but in her name. Since that time we have got into a debt management agreement with the bank. Are we still able to claim anything back?
Thanks0 -

Hi there
If the ppi was mis sold, your able to make a reclaim with your reasons you have.
However, with it being within debt management, the ppi is now also worthless to you, so you could cancel this and ask if they could please reduce the payments by reducing the ppi from the loan because of that reason.
If your successful after making a reclaim, its possible the refund will be awarded towards the debt owed, anything remaining plus interest should be refunded directly to you.
For more on reclaiming here and ask for any further help if required, good luck.

:oSorry to butt in di :A0 -
Also if you had ppi on both of the previous loans, try and get the account numbers for these as you may have a claim on these as well if you believe you were mis sold.

Hi
Just to let you know I got word back from GM Card(letter dated 29/11/2010) saying basically that my complaint / claim for PPI mis selling is on hold pending the outcome of the BBA action.
As they are owned by HSBC I am now also awaiting the same letter from them re a claim for mis sold PPI on a loan that is going through at the moment.
Both complaints were made 28th September 2010.
Will just have to sit tight & wait and see for now I guess.

Hi just an update and a question. Got a reply from A & L, MBNA through Bank of America secure email to say they need more time to investigate my PPI reclaim and have given me the date of 25/11/10. My question is can I cancel my PPI now or do I need to await the outcome of my complaint? I'm just thinking that I defo don't want the PPI but I'm still paying for it at the moment and that money could be going towards my balance instead of PPI. Thanks and has anyone had any replies back from MBNA?0
