Before I start the long haul of reading through all the theads of advice can somebody point me in the right direction please.
My Wife has a loan with Northern Rock, which due to bad money management on our part we are paying back in smaller monthly amounts as we are in a DMP with the CCCS. We have recently found out that my wife has an insurance payment with the Northern Rock as part of the agreement, she cannot remmeber asking for this. The original application for the loan was filled in on line and when it was accepted the agreement papers were sent through for her to sign. I was wondering if we could possibly claim this back? Can somebody point me in the right direction on how to possibly go about doing this.
Many Thanks

to see if you may have a claim. If you do then write a letter to them saying this ppi was mis sold.. with your reasons and you want ppi paid to date back and the loan reset. If you win this mis sell the refund will be taken off your debt, but at least this will reduce the amount that you owe.Good luck with this and please keep us posted x.0 -
Woohoo, got a letter yesterday from Halifax stating they would repay my mis-sold PPI plus interest !!!
Cheque should arrive within twenty eight days for £1005 ;-)0 -

Hi there
If your wife thinks she was mis sold, she could try to make a reclaim, if it was set up by NR then you pursue them by sending them your completed questionnaire to reclaim as shown on link below.
If there is also a payment arrangement plan under the CCCS now then the policy would be worthless to you, as its added to the debt and your not going to be able to use it.
And if successful, its normally awarded to reduce the debt balance, and anything remaining plus interest should be refunded directly to you.

Hope this helps, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi,
Firstly I would like to say thank you for all the help that there is on this site!! I would have ended up going with a company who charged 30% plus VAT, so thank you
I have gone through the stages for reclaiming PPI back for my HSBC credit card which I took out 10 years ago. It is now with the Ombudsman due to HSBC declining a pay back. What I need help with is if I move the balance of the credit card to another and close the HSBC one, will this affect my claim? I am getting charged nearly £150 month on interest and I woiuld like to move it to one with a 0% so I can bring the amount down quicker.
Any help would be much appreciated, thank you0 -

Hi there
I have never been in this actual position myself of moving the balance from one to another credit card but I assume lots have done this, and hope they can advise you on this one, you could ask the fos to be sure, they may suggest to hold back for now.
Good luck with this.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
