    Hi SG

I take it you were mis sold the ppi?

Yes you complete the reclaiming questionnaire as below, keep copies as well and send it to whoever was responsible to setting this up from the start, also keep copies of what you receive in case you need to refer to this at some point.
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#reclaim

If you were mis sold on the 3 of the ppi for the same reasons, you can reclaim all on the one questionnaire, remember to enclose all account numbers that apply, or reclaim on separate questionnaires if you want to.

You may have heard about the freeze of new ppi complaints by the main of the banks, but do not worry, you still continue with the normal procedures, but if you hear nothing by 8 weeks then continue to make a complaint to the financial ombudsman service (FOS).

I do not know the main address for the reclaiming, maybe someone will confirm.....

Many thanks for this, would you recommend doing it yourself of getting a lawyer to do it?

It may be worth pointing out that when i rang Lloyds the other day to try and get a straight answer as to wether ALL claims were on hold or just the new ones and wether payouts to upheld cases were still going forward, i told the adviser that i was taping the conversation and would use it against him if he gave me incorrect information..It seemed to have worked for me.......;)
Thats the way to go :j good for you

    A few questions please.

I have found all my loan paper work fro HSBC (i had three) Do i need to send a questionnaire to HSBC per loan?

Also does anyone know the address that I need to send all the bits to for HSBC?

Looking forward to trying to get back 3k

Good for you for doing it for your self and not handing cash over to a lawyer or claim company:D Good luck with this and please keep us posted x.
  • Hi again everyone....I wonder if anyone can give me a little advice. Can i contact my mortgage lender C&G and advise them that i was mis-sold ppi on my mortgage and re-mortgage (which when i realised, i canx in june of last year). I did ring them up and complain about the mis selling but they told me that i cannot put in a claim as it was paid by direct debit and that i must have been aware of it.

    Thanks in anticipation

    Hi Sue

I would post a separate thread, amongst these ppi threads and subject as "Mortgage ppi help".
Dunstonh should be able to advise you on this one.
    Good luck;)

  • I have just completed the questionnaire for reclaiming ppi from Northern Rock. I have claimed as a result of ppi being added which was not notified to me on the loan forms and as this loan was merged with my mortgage there was no split in what I was paying and only recently have NR dcided to issue me with the paperwork.

My claim is solely around the fact that they added ppi to the loan and not the mortgage, what is the point in covering such a small amount when the mortgage is the most important thing and what I would probably struggle to pay if I was out of work.

I also dont even recall speaking about this as I dont generally take ppi on anything except my loan from picture which was insisted on.

Has anyone else had any dealings with Northern Rock and how do you rate my chances here?

Good luck on your reclaiming with NR, I take it these were the ones who set your policy up?

I've never had dealings with them myself, but many have, hopefully they will post up of their own experience.

    Fingers crossed for you.;)
