Quick update RBS 8 weeks up on the 30th Aug 2010 kept getting the 'still investigating letter' so I have decided to send the second letter yesterday I will have to wait and see now !!!! Kept ringing RBS but just keep getting told it in the pile ??? Studio cards has been with the FOS since Aug 2009. Sill waiting on that one and the adjudicator I had has now left and they can't give me a time scale. I have also decided to bite the bullet and send questionnaire to Yorkshire bank as I had a loan with them many moons ago I got into trouble Iowed 12 grand in the end it went to court and I have been paying it little by little ever since, anyway Marlin Services are now dealing with it and I turns outthe I still owe £9800.00 !!!!!!!!!! OMG so all in all I am still paying PPI ona loan I took out around 13 yrs ago what a mess!!!! Hopefully I will hear from Yorkshire bank soon on that on ?

That would certainly help if you were successful on the YB one wouldn't it?

Mine have actually been with the FOS a year this month via underwriter/insurer and still ongoing, so its going to take some time, although its been allocated to the adjudcator, so still a long old haul ahead.

Di, I'm so glad you understand my decision to let that one go and wish you all the luck in the world with your ones that are going this alternative route... I'll miss this forum, it ROCKS!

I know some people will not want to hear this but I don't care - it's important - if I've learned anything over the years it's that you have to realise when something that you know in your heart is over is doing you no good and put your mental health first.

Although it was I think a clear case of mis selling with a storecard not being able to go to the Ombudsman ends it in my mind - I'm content that I've done all I reasonably could to reclaim and glad that this dreadful underhand practice has been noticed and stopped.

It's time for me to move on and appreciate the peace of mind and other good things (a very happy marriage for one) that have come to me since becoming debt free. x x :wave:

No Amersall, the FOS didn't mention that at all, they just said that they agreed with my complaint and so did my bank.

This doesn't mean that the bank will now refuse to refund me my money because of this court case will it even though they agreed that my PPI WAS mis-sold?

Lets hope they dont, i think if it has been upheld they should pay you.Let us know if you hear any different.x

A friend of mine had the same prob with her york loan, they refunded her the ppi back to her and she was allowed to keep paying marlin the loan off each month.I am not saying this will happen in your case as they may take the win off the loan (but at least the loan will reduce) and it only took 7 weeks!!.Good luck with this and keep us posted.x

HI , JUST WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW THAT AFTER E MAILING ERIC DANIELS AND THE FOS, HAD A RPLY FROM FOS SAYING THEY WERE CHASING LLOYDS AND WOULD ADVISE. THEN HAD LETTER FROM LLOYDS AGREEING TO PAY THE MONEY INTO MY BANK ACCOUNT WITHIN 21 DAYS. ALL I EXPECTED AND MORE. THANK YOU EVERYONE, AND GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL. OOHHH Thanks for that info Amersall good to know as I wasn't even sure I had the right to try and claim anything ?????? Like you said might not win but worth a go will keep you posted thanks again

Cheers Di3004 and like you said fingers crossed Just the Studio one is getting on my nerves more than the others don't know why it's taking so long?? I know that the FOS are really busy but it's been a year now and to be honest I have sent them everything I even found out who the underwriters were and everything and I can't understand how they can offer me a 1p 'good will gesture' and then say they don't except I have been mis-sold anything ????
