PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi New to this
I requested details of loan from Blackhorse on 29th Sept, received details that showed we had paid PPI up front from the loan and was being charged monthly payments of £87.56 + interest. Loan was taken out in 2003 and early settled in 2004. Send a letter back claiming PPI payments, heard nothing from them so called to be advied that letter recieved but all claims on hold as they and other financial companies have gone to the high court on the 8th Oct to contest against these claims, therefore. all claims are on hold for a further 8 weeks . Does anyone know anything about this
Hi, I received acknowledgement of my claim with Lloyds on 28th September. I rang the Customer Care Centre a number of times early October to enquire re progress of claim. I was told several times that Acceptance slips had been sent out 8th October. when these hadn't arrived by 18th October I rang again and they said they'd send out the Acceptance slips again. As they still hadn't arrived yesterday I rang again and told all claims on hold. They couldn't or wouldn't give me a time frame when the hold on claims might be lifted. I rang the FOS and they said that LLoyds are still obliged to assess the claim within the original 8 week period or I have the right to involve the FOS. I emailed Lloyds yesterday informing them of this and will wait and see.0 -
Just a quick update on my post above. I rang LTSB this morning to see whether they are sending out Acceptance Slips again - I was told that my Acceptance Slip has been added to the reprint run and the reprint run is starting today. The lady I spoke to said she woulud anticipate I will receive the Slip within the week. She also said that claims that had been Accepted on or before 8th October would be honoured within the 8 week period. Claims which were submitted prior to 8th October but had not been judged would be looked at when the judicial review is complete. NB this is illegal as the FSA have told Lloyds they still have to adjudicate claims even though the Judicial Review is ongoing. If anyone has a claim which was submitted prior to 8th October and has not been judged I recommend as soon as the 8 week period is through they should contact the Ombudsman who I'm told are taking a dim view of Lloyds position.0

Hi all, please can anyone advise if you were missold ppi on a credit card but you have got into debt with the card and are making the minimum payments each month can you still claim for the missold ppi, this is on behalf of my partner,he seems to think that because he still owes them money he cant claim, but surely it was still missold, hoping someone may be able to advise me,thank you.
My reclaim was for a credit card and I got a refund of PPI, but I've taken it further with the FOS because I maintain that the minimum payments I made would have reduced the outstanding balance and interest of the actual credit card loan if I had not had to pay PPI out of the minimum payments. Just a refund of PPI is not 'putting me back in the position that I would have been in if I had not paid PPI'. At least, that's my take on it and the FOS are looking into it for me!0 -

Hi there
I found this address here:
Central Complaints Team
HFC Bank
Camden House West
The Parade
Birmingham
B1 2XJ
You can check it out with the financial ombudsman service (FOS) as a general customer query, to ensure its the correct address, or they should give you these.

I have had a call from 'We Claim You Gain' this evening, I took their details and checked them out online with their website and the Ministry of Justice as they provided me with their authorisation code and it checks out. I rang them back on the landline number they rang me on instead of their freephone number and they are calling to see me on Monday.
I had a loan from Citi Finiancial from 2004 and I finished paying for it in Sept 2010, they say I can claim back all the PPI they sold me, is this ligit, i'm unsure after checking out a caller site???? :undecided0 -
hi
just to recap on past posts. sent a reclaim letter to ikea (ikano) claiming ppi, they sent a letter back saying no chance. i then responded with a personal letter saying i was not happy and asked them to reconsider. i have recieved a letter this morning they are prepared to offer 50% refund of the premiums applied to date in full and final settlement. the premiums total £136.74 so they propose a refund of £68.37.
the settlement offer is made without any admission of liability!!!
accept or go for the whole lot? i have not seen many people on the thread battling with ikea so am very tempted just to take it.
any advice?

Hi hannah
Thanks for update.
You do what you feel is right for you.
I don't think I have came across many or anyone else to be honest who have been reclaiming against this company, but as stated if your happy with that then accept, but otherwise can you complain to the FOS?
However, it could take some time if you did complain to these as you may know.;)
Well done to you though, still a success at the end of it.:T:beer::j

Afternoon,
I was wondering whether somebody could advise me of what steps to take. I sent my FOS questionnaire to MBNA back in August. They sent me several stalling letters saying they were looking into my complaint. I had clearly ticked "No" to credit card PPC and they added it anyway. I was due a response by today and got a letter stating that my complaint is on hold as the BBA has sought clarification from the Court concerning complaints handled by the FOS.
They have enclosed an FOS leaflet. My question is do I send all the documents to the FOS and can the FOS still deal with my case or do I have to wait for the courts to decide as in the bank charges which may be many, many months?
I'm confused.0
