    Hiya Max thank you.:D ;) .

I only have the contact details by telephone Max but the address and email details should be in this link as well, emailing them though you may have to wait a while before you receive any feedback, so ring them first and see what they have to say, good luck Max. X;)

  • I took out a loan in 2004 with Capital One. The PPI policy is with a company called Lending Corporation.

A company called Renaissance offered to take on my case of missold PPI and they felt that I had a good case as the policy did not cover what I was led to believe it did. However they wrote to me recently saying that the company concerned were not legislated at the time I took out my loan and thus they could not take my claim forward but would guide me to take this forward if I wanted to continue.

I have now been approached by a company called 7 Marketing who are asking for an 'up front fee of 199.00 in order to persue a claim on my behalf.

I would normally be slightly apprehensive of paying money up front but I am also equally worried that they will also say they cannot take things forward for the same reasons as Renaissance.

    Hi there
    Sorry to hear of this.

I would not pay out anything upfront for using these companies to be honest.

Do you still have the agreement for this loan still and/or paperwork?

  • Hi everyone

Just thought I'd give you a quick update on my ppi claim.

I sent my first template letter to Tesco in March 2008 and they came back with their decision in July basically saying "we've done nothing wrong - you have no claim". I then forwarded the complaint to the FOS in July and received notification of the settlement at the beginning of December. Tesco received my acceptance on 24.12.08. I was told that it could take 6 - 8 weeks for them to pay out. This Wednesday was the deadline and now they are telling me it can take up to 10 weeks due to the backlog. The FOS adjudicator was going to chase it up today so am just waiting for them to get back to me to let me know how much longer I'm going to have to wait.

    Ho hum!!!

    Hi there Yummy Mummy

Hope you receive your refund soon, it could be because they have so many to pay out in regards of their PPI complaints as they are getting higher....

You could actually come to an agreement with the FOS to about a Letter before action otherwise (LBA), I did have one here but cannot find it, it worked for me, it was just basically telling the company if they did not pay out withing 14 days then further action will be considered or taken, I then received my payment about 10-12 days after sending the letter.

I obviously had to send the FOS a copy of it as well by email attachment and they agreed, hopefully though even though they have stated you should receive this at such a time, with a bit of luck you will receive this sooner, all the best and please let us know.
    Cheers.;)

  • Hi

Just typing up letters to RBS(2 loans and 2 credit cards) all were taken out at local branch. Should the letters be addressed to local branch or better addressed to head offices.

    Thanks
