I am more annoyed it cost me £10 yesterday to get a postal order to SAR them but I will at least have the info in case they try to rob us for a few pennies! :D

  • Hi everyone.

Just thought I would let you know that I have had a letter from FOS today regarding my ppi claim from capital one.

They have finally agreed to cough up the whole amount plus any interest charged at the credit card rate plus 8% interest from the date of the charge up to the settlement date.

Now it isnt a big win the original claim was only for about £150 but beacuase they were so condescending in their refusal it made me more determined to fight them.

I originally wrote to them in february last year and went to the ombudsman in May. So has taken a year and it looks like it would have cost them less if they had just paid up at the time.

Will post on the success thread when I actually get the money. They 6 to 8 weeks after they receive my signed agreement from the FOS which will be going in the post tomorrow morning. Recorderd delivery.

Just waiting on 2 from barclaycard and the 2 from my good friends ocean Finanace now. Fingers crossed I win those as well.

    Good for you Pixie983,

Just wondered how long your complaint had been with the FOS and if this had been fast tracked for you??

Good Luck, look forward to hearing good news in the next few weeks!!!!

    Hi Helen,

My complaint had been with the FOS since the end of August last year so almost 6 months. As far as I know it wasn't fast tracked - I called the FOS a couple of weeks ago to find out what was happening, they said it was still waiting to be assigned to an adjudicator but it could be several months before that happened, then 2 weeks later I got the call from the adjudicator! Fingers crossed now! :p

    Hi there

Yes you can still reclaim on this, it makes no difference while on DMP, although they will more than likely suggest the amount comes off the loan.

There are many here that have been in the same situation in regards of DMP and reclaiming, and also been successful, hopefully they will post up and give you their opinion on this, good luck and give us a yell if you want an help throughout this.;)

Great thanks, going to hunt out all his paperwork tonight and get a better idea what I am dealing with. We would not be looking for money just be really pleased to have the debt reduced.
