    Hello and welcome

Well done on your first success.
Did they also offer the interest with this too?
This is generally given if they accept liability, and not always given on a goodwill basis though.

Good luck on the others too.
They do normally have 8 weeks to give a decision, but lots of companies have backlogs of these complaints and are asking for more time.

So keep at them, good luck.;)
yes this was including interest of 8%.
didnt expect to receive a penny so anything is a bonus in my book.

    Hi there

Are these still running or dissolved?

just double checking, if not you can try as amersall also says to make the claim from the financial compensation scheme (FSCS)
    http://www.fscs.org.uk/contact-us/

So please remind us to save going back on previous posts, how far have you gone with this?

    Cheers.;)

    Hi Di,

Forgive my erratic posts - for some reason cant seem to navigate round this forum very well :o

ok so have just come off the phone with the FSC (very helpful lady) and basically this company have gone into liquidation so I now have to email the FSC requesting a claim form. They advised me to put in as much detail with dates etc for the claim and they have informed me it will take up to possible 6 months to process before they let me know the outcome. The FO are only able to help with cases dealing with companie s that are still running.

So I guess I wont be around for a while now whilst i wait for this to go trhough the works - thanks ever so much for your help and if you know how to include this thread to amersall then would you mind doing so ??

Cheers and i'll keep you all posted :D

  • Thanks Di for your reply. Do you know of anyone who has done the complaint on line? When I log into my account for the A & L there is a secure email that you can send for complaints and I had been thinking of doing that to speed things up. I have written the letter and just need to take it to the PO to send by recorded delivery but if it can be done on line might just so that. Thanks
