Hi there

Fingers crossed.

I take it you have already made a complaint to the loan company first and you are now making a complaint to the FOS because they rejected your complaint?
Hi Di , thanks I have asked for a copy of the agrement which I have recieved and they said on the letter any further help phone this number , I didnt think about calling them only to ask what date it was cancelled as I have forgotten. Do I call and say I would like to claim my payments back or write to them asking for repayment ?
regards Derek :)

Derek

You can write a letter in your own words with your reasons on why you want to make a reclaim, the first template letter on this site was replaced by a ppi reclaming questionnaire, you can use that if you want to or do both, its up to you.
Remember though as stated above, keep copies all all you send and what you receive.;)

The questionnaire you will find here on stage one of reclaiming, you send this to whoever mis sold and set up your policy;
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#reclaim

If you write a letter......

Request they refund you all your PPI, plus interest paid into the account.
Give as much info as possible on why your making a reclaim/your reasons.
Ask that they comply by 8 weeks.
And then finally confirm - if you don't recieve a favourable response, you will then consider taking further action to retrieve your PPI etc, with the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) or through the courts.

You can do both of the above if you want to.;)

Hi and welcome

Yes, if mis sold you've a right to make a reclaim on the ppi, so give it a go with your reasons.
Complete the questionnaire here;
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#reclaim
You will find this as stage one of reclaiming - this replaced the first template letter.

Complete and send to whoever set up and sold you the policy from the start, as they are responsible.
Keep a copy in case you need to refer to it later on.

And if you want to write a cover letter as well that is up to you of course.

They have 8 weeks in full to respond/give a decision, sometimes they may ask for more time.

Good luck, ask for help if required and please keep us posted, cheers.:)

• I have been made an offer from FirstPlus but they have said that the interest that has accrued should be added to my loan as they would not be following the FOS guidelines. Does anyone know if that is correct? I personally think they are pulling a fast one!

By the way this website is brilliant.
• Hi I am new to posting on this forum although I have been an avid follower.

I requested the PPI back from my mortgage account with LLoyds a few weeks back and have already had a letter today to say I will be getting a full refund as soon as I signed the enclosed acceptance slip. There were no figures in the letter to say how much I am being refunded nor if interest was to be paid so I phoned the Complaints Team. I told them I was a bit aprehensive about signing when I didn't have the figures, they said they didnt know how much it would be but that I had to sign the slip but they did say no interest would be added. I have sent an email to Scott Copsey at Customer Care detailing my concerns about signing the slip and also to say I clearly stated on my complaint letter that I expected interest to be added at 8%. Hope I have done the right thing. Any advice

Hi and welcome
If this was not an offer and they admit liability, such as upholding your reclaim, then I assumed they would have to refund the same as the FOS guidelines, unless someone else can clarify on this one for us.
Check on Maxdp's thread here;

This is how the FOS calculates ppi refunds.

You could actually give the FOS a ring on their customer general enquiry line to make sure.

Good luck and well done.:beer:

Hi and welcome

First of all well done to you.:beer:

You could email the chief executive officer (CEO)
Eric.Daniels@lloydstsb.co.uk
And customer service here:
customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

I know this seems to be how lloyds works, but I think you have the right to know if you can.
Good luck please let us know how you get on, cheers.
