PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hoping to get a claim off to Barclays against a PPI but have two basic queries (apologies I have searched, but OTT with information at the moment and going 'round in circles....)
Hi and welcome.;)
Q - The end of the format questionnaire says 'now send the form to your bank/insurance provider', but should this just be sent 'cold' direct to Barclays or would it be best to send a basic letter (what format?) beforehand? then wait for their reply - Or should I send the completed questionaire with (or without) an accompanying letter off straight away?
You send to whoever set up the policy, as they would have organised the insurance, send them the questionnaire and you can enclose a letter if you want to, although optional, or one or the other. They should send you a confirmation letter within approx 2 weeks and give you timescale, but they are entitled to 8 weeks.
Q - Next question: The only address I have for Barclays on any correspondence to do with the PPI has an address given as a PO Box number in Ireland, although the annual loan account statement ('Barclayloan Plus with Payement Protection') quotes Barclays Bank plc, Leicester LE87 2BB.
Which one should I be writing to?
The head office will be fine, there are lots of addresses for Barclays, hopefully someone will confirm which one.
But check on the address thread too.
And post by recorded delivery, this is your proof of posting.

Hi di, thought you sent the letter to the bank first? then if they say the insurance provider is liable then you send a letter to them? X

Hi Tony and well done on your MBNA success.
I understand they may try to use any refund towards debt, but if this is an authorised overdraft and you have not gone over that authorised amount you should be okay, hopefully someone will be able to clarify on this, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
