Hi Guys
Apologies if this has been asked before, if you could explain or direct me to a thread explaining how to work out claim that would be great.
I recently got my Egg card statements from 2001- 2005 which I applied when I was at university...i did have a part time job, however, I was not aware about payment protection being a student and all.
So my egg statements shows payment protection each month. Do I add this all up and all 8% interest? or is it 8% each year since I paid off the card?
Also I have a copy of my aliance and leicester agreement showing i was paying ppi of £42.66 each month, which I was not aware or most probably misold. This loan was settled early...so do I calculate the amount of months I paid before my lump sum settlement and add 8% interest?
Many thanks guys0 -
Just worked out on my egg card i have paid £475 PPI....I'm not sure how to apply the 8% interest?....any advice is much appreciated.0

Hi Me again
All my loans were online applications...are my chances of a successful claim reduced because I should have read terms and conditions...such as there may have been a radio button I needed to click to take out PPI cover?0 -
Hi there, some have won on here with internet applications so you give it a go. You can work out the 8% on the bank charges calculator hereHi Me again

if you received a rebate on your ppi when you sttled then this amount will be taken off your win and yes you get ppi paid to date back, up to settlement date.Hope this helps x0 -

Hiya
If they are calculating inline with the FOS, the link Maxdp posted is useful....

You basically get back all you have paid in ppi, interest and I then believe the 8% interest is added for being deprived of your money, this would be what the court would award, also check the above thread, this should give you an idea.;)
