I am tearing my hair out, I have been pursuing my complaint about PPI for a year and half now and I recieved a letter from my bank telling me that they are unable to locate any records for me on their systems and that the bank are unable to progress this matter at this moment in time

It goes on to say "If your complaint does relate to a policy with us, please provide us with full information with which to identify you on our systems, including any recent change of name of address, any policy/account details you hold or any other relevant information. Please also return the enclosed correspondence originally sent to us by Financial Ombudsman Service.

Once these details have been confirmed we will be happy to fully investigate your complaint.

    1) I already wrote to the bank at the beginning which they rejected my claim and stated that it wasn't missold but did offer £750 as a goodwill gesture

    2) I fired off a 2nd letter to RBS to which I recieved no reply

    3) I sent off my complaint to the FOS

    4) A year and a half later, I get this letter from RBS,

Now the policy numbers are on the letter from the FOS, is this just another delaying tatic by my bank and if so, what should I do? They are seriously starting to get on my wick now

Reposting again as I am looking for a definitive answer form someone who may have had this problem as well

    Thanking you all once again
