Wow, that's a turn up for the books, well done and Congratulations!
:T:beer::j
I know! I was all prepared to be let down to be honest. Can't believe they went without a fight. If I get them to take it off remainder of loan, it should drop my monthly payments by £120ish for remaining 24 months, so that's pretty good. :beer:0 -

Absolutely fantastic! :j:j:beer::T:TThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
The only address I could find was the one on the address thread, but hopefully someone who have dealt with them will clarify on this for you, good luck with this.
Thanks Di and shame on me for not knowing there was an address thread!!
I'm just an amateur at this but I'm spreading the word to all of my friends. The claim I was on about earlier is indeed for one of them who has been made redundant and suddenly her PPI policy won't pay!! I've directed her to this forum.
Thanks again

Hi does anyone know the answer to this, my credit card was with Alliance and leciester which was taken over by MBNA. I have PPI on this card so do I write to MBNA (if so does anyone know the address or A&L of which I have the address?
Also how helpfull have this companies been in paying back PPI?
Hi there
I've recently had a refund of PPI from MBNA (which I've taken further with the FOS - see my last post 13300).
The address that I was corresponding with was:
Customer Advocate Office
MBNA Europe Bank
PO Box 1004
Chester Business Park
Wrexham Road
Chester
CH4 9WW
I did write to A&L initially, but received no response and when I chased them up, they just referred me to the above.
Good luck!0 -
Update on Lloyds PPI Claim
Following on from my post last week, where I had been totally ignored by my branch of Lloyds since 14th April 2010 regarding my complaint on 2 Loans,I spoke to customer care and I contacted Eric Daniels via email on monday 23rd August.
I recieved a what I would imagine to be a standard letter from customer care on the 24th August saying that they would be looking into the matter and a decision would be made within 8 weeks.
Yesterday I recieved a letter saying that "Mr Daniels has asked me to investigate your concern and to provide you with a reply as soon as possible"
They letter was an apology and to say that they have found no evidence that either policy were mis-sold, and that they have decided to resolve my complaint by offering me a full refund on both loans!!!!
A total of £7670!
I have signed acceptance forms and posted back to them and now I just wait until the money is in the bank. I hope it doesnt turn into a fiasco like the complaint has.
Very happy now as it allows us to be totally debt free and have a large amount left to do with what we please.
Thank you to MSE forum and to the people on here for all the advise you have given to me as I wouldnt have been able to do this without all the help I have recieved from this site.
Thanks again

Glawseagle wrote: »Hi, my first post regarding PPI insurance reclaim, hopefully someone can help.
I took out a loan with Abbey in Oct 2007 for £12,000. Interest on this loan is £7992 @ 14.9% so total is £19,992 over 8 years.
The PPI is £4235.41 but they are also charging me interest on the PPI @ 14.9%, of £2820.59 making a PPI total of £7056.00
Loan total = £27,048.00 for a £12,000 loan. …bloody disgraceful.
The way I see it, using Martins PPI template, the following criteria apply and I have a case.
i) Your salesperson implied that taking out the policy would assist my credit application.
ii) Your salesperson did not tell me that the policy was optional and I have since realised that I had alternative insurance cover in the shape of my Abbey Paymentcare taken out at the same branch.
I have been to an IFA and he has stated I have a case for mis-selling the PPI but I am not sure on what grounds?
Are the Abbey out of order adding the interest to the PPI?
Any advice would be appreciated.
A quick update after finally receiving confirmation of success in our third and final dispute regarding the mis-selling of PPI by both Santander & The Black Horse.
Black Horse Loan PPI - £401.00
Santander Credit Card PPI - £824.00
Santander Loan PPI - £4333.00
So for the sake of writing 6 letters, filling in 3 forms, making a dozen phone calls, we are £5558 better off.
Heartfelt thanks to Martyn and especially to you lot on here.
Keep up the good work against the greedy, mischievous financial establishments.0 -
