  • hi guys quick update. Received my Egg payment today, so all in all it has taken less than three weeks from my complaint to receive settlement :)

Still awaiting any further news for my two natwest complaints.

I spoke to them last week and they said one was "ready to work" and the other they were waiting on paperwork from the branch...

    This is for Lloyds TSB.

Some news, in all my claims I basically wrote my story, that I was a student at the time of the sold PPI and I entered periods of hardship where I had to use the credit card to keep up with payments... Sent everything on the 9th August.

Credit card charges, letter back straight away saying they will look into the matter.
Then received a payment direct in my credit card account for all the late charges as well as the interests, 545 pounds worth. They didnt even sent a letter about it...

Bank charges, letter back straight away too stating that after the Supreme court ruling of the 25th Nov 2009, no claim can be made for fairness. Might follow on that with the FOS, £1800 worth plus interests.

PPIs, letters back straight away saying they are looking into the matter, then for all, new letters 4 days later (that's quick).
Credit card PPI. They say that the records relating to the sale are incomplete. Therefore they offer a full refund with interest. The refund will be calculated once they receive the signed acceptance slip.
Loans PPIs, full refund of the PPIs with 8% interest, the amounts will be calculated once they receive the signed acceptance slip.
£4500 of PPIs worth, then interests of top.

    I am over the moon!

Thank you so much for all the details and people helping on this forum.

I have been away so only picked all the documents up now. Is it ok to accept all offers or shall I ask for the amounts to be calculated first?

:j:j wELL DONE ON YOUR "WINS" :money::money:

    Hi Guys!!

Please I really need your help, I have topped up my loan 6 times between 2002-2010 and each time I have had PPI included, I have started to proceed with this claim though Gladstone Brookes and they reckon I have a good case but now I am thinking of going solo as the 25% commission plus vat is quite high.

My question is who do I fil in the online questionaire if I have 6 different PPI policy numbers?

I will really appreiciate any help.

    Thanks

    Hi and welcome

To be honest I would not have bothered to use a claims company, cos like you have stated they do make a charge.
Are you able to cancel without any charges now?

Yes you complete the FOS questionnaires, if you were mis sold for the same reasons, there is no harm in doing this on one, or you can keep them separately, then you send to whoever sold and set up your loans.

Remember to keep copies as well, this is recommended, they have 8 weeks to respond, and may ask for more time, which is fine, just as long as you know where you stand.;)

    Hope this helps, good luck.

Hi there and welcome. Glad you are doing this yourself :D
you just need to put all loan numbers and the reasons you were mis sold.If you need any more help just shout!! I find writing a letter in your own words is simple. just put loan acounts and why you were mis sold this ppi, and you want ppi back paid to date with interest and 8% and if the loan is still running this needs to be restated without ppi and the monthly payment reduced by the ppi monthly amount.
  • I am completely new to this so help please! - have been reading the forum and has got me thinking about the loans and credit cards I have.

The first one I've looked at is an MBNA credit card for which I am paying PPI - I've had the card since 1998 but no longer had the original agreement. I requested it from them and it has arrived in the post this morning. There is a big tick on the 'no' box under the PPI question but my statements show that I am paying it - can I claim? What do I do?!

    Of course you can claim.

I also have a credit card with MBNA (since 2000). They have just sent me the credit agreement where the 'No' box is ticked and I have been paying PPI since then. I made a photo copy and highlighted the box, then filled in the questionnaire (downloaded from this site) fully and sent it to the offices in Chester. I am now awaiting a reply from them. Should be interesting.

Not sure how to post a link to the questionnaire. A lovely person will do this for you :)

    Hi all,
Have just spent a really frustrating twenty minutes talking to an overseas call centre trying to get some sense out of HFC!

I completed the FOS template from this site and sent it off by recorded delivery on 29th May. Royal Mail tracking system shows that it was signed for on 3rd June at 7.59 am. I waited for nine weeks then sent them another letter and they responded by sending me one of their own HFC questionnaires. I completed this and sent it back, again by recorded delivery, with a letter saying that I was disappointed that it had taken all this time and all they had done was sent out their own questionnaire. I decided to ring them this afternoon and was told by the advisor that my complaint had only been logged on 5th August so it would take eight weeks for them to respond! I pointed out that I had proof of delivery from Royal Mail - to which the advisor responded that I hadn't put a covering letter in with the FOS template and they would only log a complaint on their system if it says you are complaining in a letter! I pointed out that all the info was there in the FOS questionnaire - when, why and where and the reasons that I felt the PPI had been mis-sold. Yes, she said, I understand that but you didn't put it in a letter so your complaint has been logged from 5th August on our system.

    Is it me?
