I would not like to think a person has lost the roof over their heads or not eaten or had heating because they were made to wait in a queue.
But,
If the companies just held up their hands and admitted they were wrong no one would have to queue more than 8 weeks.
People are struggling to pay for food, housing & heating who don't qualify for fast track, if they didn't keep on getting pushed further down the queue then they would be able to help themselves.0 -
I appreciate what you are saying but there are also those out there who do not work because they are "yes buts". I am not meaning you here nat but whatever you say to them or how ever you help them they say "yes but".
e.g. Well could you not get a bus. "Yes but there are no buses when I need to catch them".
Could you learn to drive "Yes but I cannot afford it".
Could you train for something "Yes but I have kids that I have to get home for" .
You know the type Nat they sit an criticise everyone else but do not get off their !!!! themselves.
Again I am not meaning you Nat cause I know you have had complex problems with youself and family members. But unfortunately it does happen;):mad:0 -
The worry is of course for those people who are genuinely struggling ,fast tracked or not ,who do not win their case and will still have to continue to struggle. Fast track doesn't mean a guaranteed win.DS1 12/10/04

That is why if there are no special cases everyone has to take their turn & is treated fairly.0 -

Well I suppose FOS believe that is what they are doing treating pople fairly:mad:0 -
Just thought I would let you know Nat that I have been fighting my ppi case since 2004 and it still goes on to this day. Believe me I been very stressed.
I am thankful that most people can go to FOS for help because I can't and would not want anyone to be in the fight I have had to go through all these years.
It does not matter that people are able to use fast-track with FOS, good on them if they can, if I could I would certainly use it and I am sure if you could use it you would to.
What difference does it make, I'm having financial difficulties, worry about this worry about that, but can't get help from FOS, but so what thats just the way it is and I'm certainly not going to stress about the people who can use FOS or fast-track.
Everyone still gets served at the end of the day.:wave:0 -

There are different degrees of stress but everyone should be treated equally & fairly.0 -
Hi all,
i am not taking sides on the fast track debate, but even if i was claiming for something from the fos, then i would be more than happy for someone to be put in front of me if their needs exceeded mine for health reasons.
I know it would not be nice for people who are suffering and do need their money back, but if a person has a illness, or life threatening condition that could be exacerbated if they do not get their money back or by the stress of claiming it back, then they should be put first.
of course i appreciate that there may be people that exploit that fact. but if i end up having to use the fos to claim my money back, i for one, would hate to think that i could have caused more trouble for a already suffering person by not wanting them to get fast tracked.
I dont mean to offend anyone, but thats just how i feel. Please be nice to all moneysavers!

How do you know people are not being treated fairly?
Yes, different degrees of stress but how do you know that your stress is worse than the next person?
The whole question is why are people being fast-tracked, the answer is they are able to use the service and so they should if they can.
I think we should save our energy for fighting to win back PPI and not worry about others using the fast-track system, its a pointless debate.:wave:0
