Not much effort at all. One letter, they replied to say they had received it (actually it got passed to Bank of Scotland as they did my PPI) and would look into it. Took less than 8 weeks to say not accepting liability but here is your money back! less than 4 weeks later had the money.

    Good.;)

No hun you do not, they will send you a confirmation letter withinapprox 2-3 weeks, then they will let you know they will send further updates as your case is moved on to an adjudicator.

Anything you enclose in copies, ensure you add your account number details to every one of them.;)

(sorry for not getting back to you quicker, my puter is playing up being slow again) lol.:D

Oh thanks Di love. Does it take a long time for them to sort out? God, how impatient do I sound!!!:D I will make sure I send them everything I have been sent from Lloyds.

    Hi Sharibe
Lol, your not being impatient hun, its only natural that you want to know.:D

Right as the volumes of these complaints are at its highest right now it may take some time, but what I should have mentioned earlier is, if your struggling financially right now let them know on a letter to enclose with your complaints form, they may consider fast tracking for you.

Mine was fast tracked due to my current financial cirumstances.
They received my form in June/July 2008, in September it was moved on to the first caseworker/adjudicator, it was agreed by the caseworker that is should be upheld, but lloyds would not have it, so then they moved this on to fast tracking in DEC/Jan to another adjudicator that is working closely with the ombudsman, again the FOS agree to uphold, and awaiting feedback by the 20th of this month, so fingers crossed, I will let you know.;)

But like I said let them know if your in hardship right now.;)

    Editing to come back in.
Mine was not just financial hardship but other personal reasons as well which cannot be disclosed on this forum and have not been disclosed, but the FOS will look to see if that is enough for fast tracking, if they think it should be due to your personal circumstances they will do so X

    Hi Anne Jade

    How are you?
    Hope your well.:A ;)

It can vary I believe hun, my first case with the FOS had taken 14 months from start to finish - yet it was rather complexed, even though going by some people's posts they have been waiting almost a year or so before its moved on...... .
Yet some have been just a few months.

I have not heard from Marshallka, think she is still here though.....:D , hope all is well too.;) And will do hun.;)

  • Why should anyone be allowed to jump the queue at FOS due to their financial circumstances?

Everyone is desperate for their money back & no one should be able to queue jump, cases should be dealt with in strict date order & then we would all get our money a bit quicker.
  • I have waited 9 months to get to an adjudicator. I just wondered if anyone knew how long the adjudication bit might take.
