I need to know whether I write the second letter or sit and wait, and how long do I wait for?
I have been told by the investigator dealing with my case that calculations are taking a little longer and when it's done he will phone me.0 -

Hi there.
To save me going back on posts, do you mean the company of who you complained to?
How long ago did you write to them?
On reclaiming:
They have 8 weeks to respond in full to you or until you have exhausted the complaints procedures, where they should enclose your eligibility on this, if you can go to the financial ombudsman service, for instance if your not satisified with the response your given you should be able to go to the FOS then.
Now regarding calculations I believe 14 days is giving them plenty of time.
I would not want the calculations told to me on the phone and would want this all in written form so you can see what is what.
Hope you hear soon with some results.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Nick
There are people on this site who have been with them for a year now and have still not been assigned an adjudicator. Others are seen quicker.
You may be able to get it fast tracked if you are in financial difficulty.:mad:0 -
Hi all
Got letter from adjudicator this morning saying that they are now looking at my case. YYAAYYYYY!
So it seems it is taking about nine months to get to an adjudicator.
Anyone know how roughly how long it takes now?0 -

Monument - asked for ppi back, they offered £300 odd quid I refused and sent SAR to them, I received SAR and full info regarding ppi charges and wrote back wanting full amount of £757 or would go to FOS, had a letter today to say that even though they acted responsibily and accept no liability but to resolve this dispute they will offer me £1252 which includes interest!!!!  :j :rotfl: :T
Halifax ppi on 3 loans - wrote template letter for OH being self employed in December 08, had 2 letters from then saying still dealing with issue, letter today stating ppi might not have been appropriate for you and UPHOLDING the complaint for all 3 loans. Will write again shortly with full details and exact amounts to be paid back!!!  :j :rotfl: :T

Hi everyone,
Today I have had a response to my 2nd letter to Llloyds, they have basically said the extra info I provided has not changed their decision. However, the letter I got today is just refering to ONE of my loans (I put 3 x loans on the 1st letter of complaint). They are saying the following:
The single premium insurance plicy was the only policy of its nature available through Lloyds to protect persnoanl loans sold by our sellers at the time your policy was sold. Lloyds TSB sellers are only authorised and regulated to offer advice and information on products sold by Lloyds TSB General Insurance.
I really don't understand what they are trying to say. My 2nd letter stated that in the SAR stuff they sent me they inlcuded just ONE Personal Summary and Our Recommendation Sheet which has not been signed by either myself or them and there is not one at all for the other 2 loans. They did send me copeis of all 3 credit agreements.
I am not sure what I now need to say in the form to the FOS which will strengthen my case...Or am I fighting a loosing battle??? Did I see on Martins e-mail last week that one off premium insurances are now not allowed?? If so, will that help me?? I am trying to claim back the following:
£1981.30 on a £8600 loan, £2008.77 on a £8720 loan and £3682.40 on a £14500 loan. All of which are now paid off.
Can any of you lovely helpful peeps advise and is anyone else in a similar situation trying to claim back a one off permium?

Hi Sharibe,
You have received the standard fob off replies, so chin up hun, there is a way to go on these yet.
Now if they have mentioned the FOS, I would go to them now if you want to go this direction, my case was about LLoyds as well and so far everyone else who have had complaints against them have had the same response as both you and me, so try not to worry.
You can either download the FOS complaints form on the FOS site or ring them, I would also take a photocopy when completed and send one to LLoyds as well to let them know its now with the FOS, (it may even give them the change of heart) if so then just let the FOS know, good luck hunni and chin up.;)
