  • Hi i was wondering whether anyone has claimed ppi of burtons store card or freemans catalogue as looking at my statements burton charge me account cover at £1.50 per £100 of the balance every month is this ppi worded differently, cant honestly remember agreeing to this as i always like to keep payments down. Also freemans word it as complete care, same as above cant remember agreeing to this either:confused:

Any advice would be much appreiciated on what to do and what does it mean.

Well done on your success with MINT  :T !

Have you had the chance to check out the success thread?
There you may find come successful posts from others who may have been successful reclaiming from Burtons Store Card and/or Freemans Catalogue.

Its always worth writing into them with your reasons and give it a go, as you did with MINT, you never know you may be lucky there as well.

I am undergoing a reclaim with my son's Burtons store card, as he was not working but a full time uni student when he was sold insurance with his, only just making a start with this, so fingers crossed.

Give it a go hun, you have nothing to lose.;)

    Good luck

  • I have read on the success thread that the FOS have done a deal with RBS that any claims that are passed on to RBS from the FOS are being settled as goodwill gestures. Do you think that this will help my claim with Tesco as it was handled by the RBS and has now been passed to the ombudsman who wrote to Tesco on the 3/2/09.

    Any advice would be grateful

I have emailed FOS to ask if my file has been returned, awaiting reply, will let you know if I get an answer.

I was going to wait until the end of the month if I have not heard anything I will give the FOS a call

Fos wrote to Tesco on 07/01/09 & sent a reminder on 29/01/09.

Hope this goes against them when they have not replied to the first letter and the FOS have had to send a reminder.

Lets hope its good news when they do send their reply

I didn't get anything from legal Beagles, but I got a few ideas from CAG. I am considering what to do next.
