Hi there

Contact the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) and ask them on your best direction from here.
Because as long as you have information and the account number of the account you should still be eligible to make a reclaim.

FOS here:

Please let us know how you get on, cheers.;)

Thanks again Di, you said that the loan policy number should be the same as ppi policy but on form it says this will be different, should I just put the loan policy number again?

Thanks

Hi there

I have always used the loan account number as the insurance was added within the loan and was never given a separate insurance number, if it was the same for you, make them aware of this, tell them (the insurance was added in with the loan so the account number covered for both, then write your loan account number).;)

Hope this helps.:)

That is okay for a start, to make a reclaim anyway, but if they did not uphold in your favour paperwork/documents would come in useful.

You could try by requesting a Subject Access Request (SAR), there is a template for this on the link below, they have 40 days to comply, and you enclose a £10 cheque or postal order payment for this request, where they should send all they still hold on you.

If they are unable to provide you with any information then they should write to explain and return your payment.

SAR here:

Good luck with this.:)

Hi there Sylvia

I would make sure they send you the written correspondence and with it being LLoyds TSB, write back to them once you know why they refused you, you then have something to work on.

So make sure they send you the letter to confirm this and whatever the findings was, work on them, even if it was a final response, they do tend to look again and reconsider.

customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

You can also email them as well and ask them to send this, make sure you give them the account number in relation to the account, good luck and keep on at them is best.;)

Thank you Di. Just waiting for letter and then I will take it further.

Good one Sylvia.:T
And your very welcome.

Lloyds are not the easiest and do not tend to investigate complaints properly, the FSA are coming down on banks who do not do this and who will be getting punished for this reason.

So never back down from these, you will win in the end.;)

Hiya,

Were Lloyds part of the GISC in 1999? According to my policy documents, they were a member of ABI and IOB.

It doesn't mention GISC!
• i am not entirely sure,
they must have been governed otherwise the FOS will not investigate your complaint,

it may be worth waiting fo rthe full written response from the FOS as this will give more details of who's rules were applicable

cheers
I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free
