Hiya Sharon honey, your most welcome.:A;):)

Right now what you do is complete the FOS complaints form as you do with the PPI complaints and enclose "copies of all correspondence you have", and in your situation you can request for fast tracking as well.

It does not seem that LLoyds are budging at all, so this looks like the best option you have now.
However, you could give them one more chance, give them 14 days. and tell them you are considering going to the FOS on this matter.
Then if you hear nothing then continue with the below:

    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm
Or give them a ring if you want them to post the complaints form out to you.
Tell them how much stress this have caused you and what you have been through the last year or more, and (health as well), I think you got the drift honey).:A:A:A XXXXXXXXXTHANK YOU LOVELY DIXXXX, WILL DO

Thanks very much di3004, I'll write the first letter and get it off tomorrow. I'll just state my case and then see what they want back from me. Fingers crossed it will run smoothly, but knowing the bank it'll be far from it! I've got all my original loan details etc, with break-down of amounts, so should be good there!
Will update soon with responses etc.
    Thanks again.

hi there, yes go back to bank and tell them you want ppi paid to date and interest back (ask them how much ppi you have paid then you will know if the offer is right), if the loan is still running you also want it put back to the position it would have been without ppi. if the claims company have dropped your case then you dont have to pay them. good luck and keep us posted (perhaps the company dropped this as it was a small amount? ) i answered this on 31st march, are you no further forward?

    Hi and welcome

If you only just settled an account in 2008 they they should at least hold some details on you, in fact they should hold your details going back as far as 5/6 years, even from earlier years.

However, if you request a SAR (Subject Access Request) with an enclosed payment of £10 postal order or cheque payment they MUST comply by 40 days, if they are not able to then they must return your payment with a letter of explanation.
So it maybe wise if you have not requested for your information this way, by sending a SAR letter, I think you will then end up with your info, if not then you can complain to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) about them as its only 2 years ago you settled the account and they SHOULD still have these details.
    A SAR template letter here:
Hope this helps, fingers crossed, please keep us posted, cheers.:)
Hi, after waiting another 50 days and contacting my branch again thay sent a letter this morning to say ,theyve persued every available channel to duplicate my statements but as the account has been closed for a long time (2 years) they are unable to help me with this matter, i have rang the ombudsman and theysuggest i ring the information commisioners, i had originally signed up with a company to deal with this so the first letter i sent requesting details was from them, have tried to ring them today and keep getting put in a queue!!! any further advice or help would be greatly appreciated
    thanks

i dont understand why you are chasing this when you have a company to do this for you?or have i read it wrong ? i would do as ombudsman says and ring the information commisioners keep at it,the bank should keep you on file for more than 2 years i dont know what they are playing at, you seem to be getting the runaround with this. good luck and keep us posted x
