PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me? I took out a loan several years ago and was sold PPI without realising. I paid off about 3 quarters of that loan but had to reconsolidate that along with some other debts and took out a new loan with the same company - without PPI this time. Is there any way of reclaiming the PPI I had previously paid? If anyone can shed any light, I'd be grateful. Thank you.0

Hi and welcome
If the PPI was mis sold to you for any reason then yes you can still reclaim the PPI you have paid, plus interest etc.
They have 8 weeks in full to respond.
Do not worry about writing down the amounts, they should if successful supply these to you or you can request they send them to you.
You actually write to the ones who set this up for you, so if a broker was used you write to them.
More help with the guidelines of reclaiming, with template letters, a checklist of mis selling reasons, check these reasons in case any of these also apply to you.

I would suggest as well to post by recorded delivery for your proof of posting.
Hope this is helpful to you, please though ask for further help if required, keep at them and good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi All,
Ok just wondering if any 1 has had experience of claiming PPi from Clydesdale bank.
I started doing this about a year ago (for my mum) after contacting the FOS the Clydesdale admitted it was mis sold and agreed to refund the full premium and do a redress.
They are now stalling on paying the amount back. The keep saying to her it will be settled 2 weeks but this has been going on for a few months now. When she contacts them they say they have a back log.
Any suggestions or does she just have to be patient and hope the eventually sort it out.0 -

Hi there
And my suggestion would be to email the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of that actual bank,
My hubby still waiting on his credit card ppi refund resolved and upheld by the ombudsman himself in 2009, the FOS have been informed as well that my hubby emailed the CEO via LLoyds where now it seems things will be paid out soon....we hope.
I will pm you the details.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Continuing saga: today I received a reply to my second letter (perhaps the first response was to my first letter that got lost in the ether?). They sent me copies of my statements for the last 6 years albeit at least 10 statements are missing - I probably have copies though (not exactly what I requested but its going someway there - since I wont have to photocopy these particular gems). Additionally they have a copy of my second letter so I know it's a reply to this. It's possible it's a reply to the third letter. Either way it hasn't really answered my request. Since it's only really been a week or so since the last letter I think I should just wait and see what comes of it and once 40 days pass contact the ico. What does anyone else think?
Good luck everyone on their reclaims!Total debt at lightbulb moment (Jan 2010): £23410
Target for Dec 2011: £17000
Lloyds - Early Jan: £[STRIKE]2040[/STRIKE] Feb: £[STRIKE]2050[/STRIKE] Mar: £0
Other Lloyds @ highest: £9800 Feb: £9800
Current debt: £234200 -

Hi there
Thanks for your update.
I believe the ICO would also suggest to wait for the 40 day deadline too.
So see what happens then this is up, fingers crossed.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Di,
Thank u very much for your quick response, I have just sent my letter to HBOS asking for all correspondance to be in writing regarding PPI, thank you again for your great advice and the advice you have given in previous posts to others its made me realise how much I've been ripped off and spurred me on to do something about it.
I dont know where you find the time to help everyone, you deserve a medal.
Thanks.
