HI ALL
Sent a letter to MBNA as per stage one , got a letter back saying
"With reference to your letter and a fine imposed on MBNA by FSA with regards to treating customers fairly and the mis selling of PPC I can confirm that MBNA have not been fined for mis selling PPC on Credit Card Accounts "
Anybody else received this letter !!

Hi all
I'm sure some of you may know this already, but thought I'd mention it in case some of you don't and it may help you.
My husband's complaint against Nationwide for PPI reclaiming has been with the FOS since December 2008.
My husband phoned the FOS today and asked when it would be likely he'd hear back. He was told that due to the sheer number of complaints that they have they are sending them in batches in date order to the banks and awaiting their bulk responses. They are still awaiting Nationwide's response and they send them monthly reminders. The guy he spoke to said that they can't do anything until they've had a final response back (so far it's just been 'we're still investigating'). He did tell my husband that he's hopeful it shouldn't be very much longer now.
I thought I'd let you all know and that this may explain why there is such a long delay and why sometimes there are suddenly lots of PPI successes all at once.
Fingers crossed those of us with very old FOS claims will soon hear back.Thrilled to be DEBT-FREE as of 26.03.10

Hi there
Whoever set up and sold the finance to you in the first place is the ones you actually write to.;)
Not sure about MBNA maybe someone else will be aware of this and post up, but just concentrate on the ones who set this up for you X

HI,
Can anyone out there help me, i got a call today from first direct to see if i had any ppi mis sold which i think i did. i went through it with the guy who then told me i needed to send £95 for an application fee to which i said i wasnt that stupid and they wanted my business. Anyway to cut a long story short the guy put the phone down.
But this got me thinking i could maybe do this on my own as i think i was mis sold i got the loan in 2000 to 2005 ish from hsbc and i got ppi thinking i was being careful but soon realised it was costing me between 600 to 900 pounds i think on around 7000 pound loan (again i think) when i went to the bank to tell them i didnt think it was worth it and didnt want it anymore they said i had already paid for most of it as the insurance came from my payments first and that it wasnt worth stopping it now as i had already paid for most of it and would then not be covered.
But speaking to the guy from first direct he said that it is illegal to sell you it like that and i should of been paying the insurance with seperate payments which i dont think i was otherwise i would of stopped it.
DOES ANYONE THINK I HAVE A CASE AND HOW DO I GO ABOUT IT.
bearing in mind i it was in 2005 i think and dont know how much for and what date it started and finished and how much it was for
THANKS0 -

Hi there and welcome
Well done to you for doing what you did :T never trust these claims companies.
Well for the reasons you do have I would certainly give it a go, you write to the ones who set this up for you.
Do you still have the account number?
If not then check on old bank statements this should be shown next to the monthly repayments, of if you bank online this should allow you to go back 6 yrs sometimes more depending on the bank.
They have 8 weeks in full to respond, so just as long as you have the account number go for it by giving your reasons.
More info with the guidelines of reclaiming, with templates etc here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
So follow the above link and ask for further help if required, good luck.
Do not worry about writing the amounts down, they should hopefully have records of this, if successful they should enclose the breakdown, or you can request they post them out to you.
Post by recorded delivery - for your proof of posting.

I have a loan with Lloyds TSB and on 24th November 2009 I received a letter from the FOS to let me know that Eisis Ltd who control the PPI would give me a refund.
They told me that the refund could take upto 12 weeks, I waited and when I hadn't received the refund contacted the FOS after a week or two I was telephoned by FOS to let me know that Eisis had apparently lost my details but had now found them but would now have to make another calculation for the refund.
I have phoned the FOS a few times but they just tell me that they are still waiting to hear from Eisis, i have phoned Eisis but just get an answerphone message, I have left numerous messages but never get a call back. It has now been 16 weeks and I don't know where to go from here. Any ideas?0 -

Hi there
first of all well done on your success.
My hubby has has some messing about from LLoyds in regards to his credit card ppi, the ombudsman upheld in his favour and hubby signed the acceptance at the end of Oct 09 and he is still waiting for his refund, the FOS have been chasing this up every week.
I had found out who the Chief executive officer is (CEO) and chased this up with these.
Hopefully you can try to find the details of your CEO if you can, good luck and hope you receive your money soon, fingers crossed.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
hi di i see you have been busy with your kind advice and im going to ask for some now, lol
i recently claimed mine and hubbys ppi back with hsbc, but i have recently found an agrrement that my hubby had in 1996 just before he met me which too was with hsbc. hubby said he was told he needed the ppi, the same as when we took the joint loan, also as he was single he was high risk?
my question is as i have recently claimed with hsbc can i still claim for the loan i have found? many thanks x0
