You are so domesticated Pepe, this is how the sentence would go if my OH wrote it..

Its Louise's Birthday, I have bought an iced cake and am now eating a crunchie. I will leave the bowl I had my lunch out of for her to wash later. I have found the meaning of life, its Gears of War III:rotfl: :rotfl:
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Oh Buffy I hope that by now you have made some progress.

I hope that one of the jobs that you have applied has called you back for an interview.

And I hope that you have taken on board what others have said. Can you get through until the Easter hols and then have a weeks complete break from all marking preparation etc etc. And then blitz it the second week?

And sorry but you can't be carrying your sister and her financial problems on top of a needy mum and your problems. You WILL break under the strain.

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • I could bore everyone with a how crap my job is post. my ears hurt and I have lost my voice. I have a coursework deadline that the kids aren't going to meet and that doesn't even touch on the problems I have had today.

Essentially the two jobs I went for are no go's one has become(when I called) part time two days a week (and an 75 minute train ride !!!) and the other "position" is in a school with a worse head then mine. I could cry. I sent forms anyway. A maths teacher friend (who are supposed to never have job getting problems) has been turned down cos he is at the top of pay scale and is too expensive, they were local schools too(he is just as miserable!)

I am back on the payment a day thing roughly aiming a pound a day in to a saving account - two accounts cos I can see the payments immediately. I am aiming to get below 15 grand next pay day. I have paid a pound each day since december plus some extra, I have 138 in one account and 43 in another, plus as yet I haven't spent all my money this month. although I do need to figure out mums birthday, I should be able to manage a hundred pounds extra, plus fingers cross about 500 quid.

i just have to hang on. once the CC debt is gone I can take a lower paid job.

thinking outside the box a little, but could you apply for training roles in companies? Ok you would have to learn what they wanted you to teach, but just a thought.

Really sorry the jobs didn't turn out as you hoped. I am sure things will come right eventually. You only have to hang on until December is that right, well you only had to hang on that far in January and you are already 3 months further on. By the time you come back from Easter break, it will be four months a third of the time. So really are getting there.

Ref getting another job. I know you don't think you can do it until your are credit card free. But are you not more likely to find a role that starts in September rather than January? Unless it was to cover maternity leave?

Keep focussed. I know life is sh!te at the moment, but don't let it stop you from keeping a rein on your money. Cos you know if you let the ropes slip on your debt, then you will be in this place for longer.

Course you could apply for a job in Australia or New Zealand and REALLY change your outlook......

    big hugs mate
