Buffy, well done for making that difficult decision, you will feel a different person once you are away from those poisonous people and have time to re-group.
A brave but COMPLETELY RIGHT decision:T
Well said Louise! Buffy, well done on taking that decision. There is a lot out there for someone of youur talent, commitment ( I would have told to$$er to shove it months ago ) and understanding.
Theres training roles, efl, even ofsted (?) to look at for employment. Loads of work overseas for British Teachers.
I haven't read the whole thread ( as per! ) but keep up your resolve.

Hi Buffy
Good for you - you have so many different things pulling you in lots of different directions that you have been torn.
Taking a step back and making a decision is a great move for you - you are back in the driving seat.
You are the person who knows you best and you are the only one who know's what is right for you.
How does it feel to have made this decision?

Its feels pretty damn good. Today is my birthday and I went to work thinking I would feel guilty about making the decision but I didn't.
I really didn't. told my bestwork friends I was looking and won't be there next year. it went ok, they were upset but I must do this. I want to be happy again.
Told Mum too, and actually she said, I am glad because you have been so unhappy, you do it you'll be alright. which was a suprise!
The next few months are going to be hard but there is a light. there really is.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -

Looks like when she's down and using you as her crutch (or kicking post), she's still thinking about you. Good news that.
Did 'slug' get wind of your news yet or are you going to spring that on him later? Just remember not to hurt him if he makes and stupid comments - at least until you have a new job.
And happy birthday (for yesterday).
Hopefully this is the start of a new exciting chapter that you can sink your teeth into and put a smile on your face. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0

Really hope that you boss isn't too down on you when he finds out you are leaving. Hope that you find some interesting work elsewhere. The world literally is your oyster so don't limit yourself to just the county you are in. And don't decide on a job, just cos it means you can stay at your mums....
You have to choose a job NO MATTER WHERE IT IS that you know you will be happy in. It would just mean that the debts got paid back slower....
good luck
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

The worst news. After my decision to hand my notice in (and I said nothing to anyone!) my boss, has complained about me.
Copied from Daily Chat.
I am in big trouble at work. My boss has complained and I am now in "informal capabilities" - which basically means my boss can say what he likes and I have to disaprove him.
Obviously this would go on my reference, so I cannot give my notice in until it is off my file - a half term apparently. Which is just great as I had just decided to give it in.
I am in bits to be honest. my union guy is good but the whole school has gone mad. its crazy.
I am going to copy this to my diary.
see you all later xxxx
I wish I could write more but I am pretty messed up. things have been !!!! for months and just when i thought I was going to cope this happens. I just, I am speechless.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
