Are you saying that the DHL man did not put the box into your house? Or that he was rude to you? I know mine were put just inside the doorway, they were very heavy so I didn't expect any more than that!
Or are you saying that you left the box outside deliberately as it was leaking? Which under the circumstances was probably sensible...
I was just upset that he saw it was leaking and could see that I was unable to move the box, was wearing pj's, had a baby behind me and it was raining. He was then rude by saying that they aren't supposed to carry liquids. It was just very difficult and I could have done with a bit of help. I didn't expect him to do much but i think it would have been polite to give me a hand. Anyway I am calmer now and less upset.0 -
just had my order from 21 jan delivered, there were a couple of items which had been subbed - bakers boys cakes for bakers boys flapjacks dated 14/07/09.
I had received an email before the weekend telling me what was oos and was being refunded as well as the postage amount.
All items were very well packaeged and no problems. My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
So we’re empty nesters.
Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
My mother always served up leftovers we never knew what the original meal was. - Tracey Ulman0 -
Well I have often found delivery men to be a little grumpy and unhelpful in general, Citylink are the worst in this area! Maybe the delivery man was annoyed about the leaking box too... Does anyone know if DHL do have some policy of not carrying liquids?
I assume Approved Foods were trying to save a little on the packing as bubble wrap would eat into their profits, it's understandable I suppose. Considering how exceptionally well packed the boxes used to be, if your box had been packed with just a little more care there would not have been a problem at all. Not much fun to have to clean everything before you can put it away, especially if it's in cardboard packaging!

Juts had my order of 14th of Jan delivered, a few substitutions but happy with them, and really happy with the way things were packed, the main box was a bit battered, but this is more down to the delivery company and not the way they were packaged by approved food.0

I sent DH off to collect my order(s) today along with DS whose bus did not turn up for school due to the snow
I had placed my orders on the net and paid for them at the time so was just prepared for some stuff to be OOS- but happily all of it was in stock :j The manager of the store was REALLY helpful but said they are struggling to keep up with the orders - last week they managed to get it down to 500 outstanding but over the weekend it has gone up again  They really are working around the clock just to try to get everything sorted out. Apparently they have lots of pallets of branded goods that they are trying to find time to get onto the site, but its a case of sorting out the orders that they have first.
Have to say DH was very impressed at the quality of food and the service so please just give these guys a chance - when they have at some points 1200 orders awaiting to be filled then please give them a thought, the warehouse is bl**dy cold!
To all of the guys working there, a huge thanks :T :T :TFree/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -
