Hi, can anyone who has been to the shop tell me if they have more consumable goods in, similar to the company shop at tankersley, please?
but AF have a small warehouse which has shelves with whatever they've got in stock. There are some things which haven't made it onto the website yet but I know they were planning to take on premises opposite so things might be changing. If you go to the warehouse, don't be afraid to ask staff if they have anything else that's not on display as they couldn't have been more helpful. Not everything was priced but again, just shout and ask how much things are and they'll tell you. HTH:D

I've still not heard anything about my order from Jan 24th, so I wouldn't be surprised if your box takes a few more days yet. Try to be more patient than I'm managing to be!Everyday I am asked to be a magician, in a world where magic does not exist.0 -
I am still waiting delivery of my second order.
Orderd on 18th January
Recieved Partial Refund on 5th Feb
Should be delivered on Monday 9th

I just wanted to give everyone an update on how where we are. On 16 Jan we recieved a huge amound of orders, it took us all quite by surprise. Due the the rise in order we were left with massive amounts of items being out stock, causing further delays in proccessing the orders. We are now just trying to get back on track, but unfortunately still trying to deal get through all the 16th orders.
We are still working round the clock to proccess all the orders. If anyone has any questions or complaints please dont hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for all the support and the patience.

No ifs, no buts - if a vendor cannot cope with orders then they must NOT take any more until they have dealt with the back orders. Secondly, they must NEVER take money for items they know they won't be able to deliver.
Just because Approved Foods is 'one of our own' at MSE doesn't mean we shouldn't apply the same standards we would to any other business that lets down its customers. How long does the list of unhappy customers here have to be?
Certainly a contract is completed when both sides have received their due. But this is a *breach* of contract, where one party is entering into a contract in the knowledge that they are unable to deliver their part of the bargain. The contract starts when one of parties does their part - in this case make payment - which is why many online vendors do *not* take money until goods are actually ready for despatch.
Oh, and supermarkets' online trading sites have lengthy T's&C's covering substitutions etc, and the customer is given the choice in this regard.
That's an interesting point and for me prompts the question "When (at what time after order placement) it is reasonable and acceptable for the buyer's funding source to be charged?"
This is what Google Checkout say:
Charge the buyer's credit card
After a buyer confirms a purchase, you'll receive an order, and Google will perform an authorization for 100% of the order amount. You must charge the order within seven calendar days (168 hours) of receiving the order to be guaranteed these funds.
If you capture a partial order amount during this time, you're only guaranteed the amount you captured. The remaining funds will not be guaranteed, even if you attempt to capture them within the original seven days.
However, if you've implemented the Checkout Order Processing and Notification APIs, you can reauthorize your buyer's payment method after the seven-day timeframe (or a partial capture) to ensure sufficient funds are still available. As a result, you can wait until backordered or other out-of-stock items are available before charging your buyers.
Once you've determined you can fulfill and ship the order, charge the buyer's credit card by clicking Charge beside the appropriate order in your inbox. (You can also click Charge this order on the order details page.) Important: When you charge an order, you'll also initiate the payout process. Please be sure you're able to fulfill and ship the order before you charge the buyer.

Processing orders: Charging orders automatically
By default, Google will authorize the buyer's credit card for the full amount of the purchase each time you receive an order, after which you can charge the order in the Merchant Center. If you like, you can have Google automatically charge the buyer's credit card for the order as soon as the authorization is complete. Choosing this option will save you the time and effort of manually charging orders on your own.....
....Remember, although you can charge orders automatically, you must still ship the order and notify the buyer appropriately after the order is charged.

Shipping and eligibility
After you charge the buyer, you must ship an order according to the shipping method and timeframe agreed upon when the order was confirmed. Shipping the order within this timeframe qualifies you for chargeback protection under the Payment Guarantee Policy and ensures your buyer's satisfaction.

Sorry Sellercheck, but I had to say something:
I've watched this country paint itself into a corner for the last 10 years.
I've watched while a risk averse population whine, moan, complain and reach for the rule book to ensure every aspect of their lives runs without a hitch (we can't cope with hitches)
And we have been quite capable of digging ourselves financially into a hole to ensure that everything is at our finger tips - whether that be for a house, its contents or anything else they decided they deserved.
So we want it now, we want it risk free, we want it cheap, we want it on credit, but we don't want to be a Nanny State - Er, yeah, okay ...
Years ago on That's Life they used to have a Job's Worth section - It can't be just me that remembers it - Where they used to take the mickey out of somebody who reached for the rule book for a solution to everything, basically because they didn't have enough initiative to sort it out without a rule ... that somebody else had to devise for them ...
Today's society is now run by Jobsworths - and if your company is big enough, and powerful enough, it can get round the rules,(please see the thread on non-delivery of Asda products on this forum) of course ensuring that more rules have to be made ...
The smaller ones of course, who can't afford the time etc to waste on arguing factors, (time is the most valuable thing we have) go to the wall - leaving the void for the bigger, powerful boys to step in.

Can anyone please tell me the DHL customer services number? My package has just arrived, leaking and ruined and the driver left it on the door step saying, we aren't supposed to carry liquids anyway. I am so upset.0
