I suspect, as has been suggested by others, that 'stock control/stock level management' (or lack of) is at the root of the 'problems' being experienced.
Although that may be understandable it that doesn't mean that I or anyone else shouldn't point out what is patently 'wrong' and/or unacceptable to us as individual consumers
Hi SellercheckUK,
I put your quote in bold so hope you pick it up.
Thing is, this has all been discussed on the other thread. Lots.
We were, like some are now, jumping up and down yelling, but AF were (as we yelled) putting the new ordering system in place, moving to larger premises to accomodate higher stock levels, interviewing and employing at least 20 (somebody will put me right) new staff, starting a night crew, whilst still trying to control ever increasing orders. When I spoke to Dan at the beginning of the week he said they were getting over 500 a day.
My point is that you should be able to point out what is patently 'wrong,' - we did, but AF responded and the systems are now in place to remedy it, unfortunately the orders are still increasing and they are still fighting a back-log.
Now, after they have responded, and continue to do so, they must be coming on here and reading all the legal jargon and wondering if it is worth it. I know I would be.
To see Dan and his colleagues crash and burn, simply due to the intolerance of some customers, would to many, be devastating.
We all understand it is frustrating and irritating - because we've all been there (you ought to see the complaints about the DHL delivery side) - but we also appreciate that the company hit a huge, practically uncontrollable, increase in orders and are working with them to try and make it easier, and of course, in the long run, make it a more pleasant experience for us to shop with them.
Times are hard and due to get harder, cohesion works to the benefit of all.0 -

Even Barak Obama admitted this week that he'd "screwed up" and we at AF aren't perfect either ... but we're doing our very best to get there, and are learning from our mistakes.
Keep up the good work guys, roll on my honey and syrup cakes coming. I have placed many many orders with AF and have been very very happy with everything so far.
Its a shame that certain ( moans ) are back on this thread. Lol .0 -
I've had a refund e-mail this morning for a few bits on my order of 23rd that are out of stock. Just wanted to ask people who've had refunds in the last few days when they got the shipping refund? Was it at the same time? Or after your stuff was shipped??
Thanks.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
Does anyone know when things are likely to settle down for AP? I want to do another order and I don't mind waiting but I know they have purposely put a lot of stuff out of stock to stem the flow of orders.
It's scary how addictive buying cheap food/snacks has become! :eek:0 -

My parcels were sent out the day after I got my refund, hope that helps!0 -
Thanks Jaytin - was wondering when you actually got the £5.25 shipping refund?:D
Actually I have just checked and I was wrong, I got my shipping refund in with the refund for unavailable items on the 4th and the parcels were sent out late on that evening, so it was actually the same day. I was very suprised that my order placed on the 2nd was actually dispatched on the 4th, that is amazingly fast by any standards! Yes, I did wait 3 weeks for my other order, but I did know when I ordered it would maybe take up to two weeks.0 -
FYI guys - have just had a refund notice that the following items are really out of stock:
nut roast mix, princes high juice, jordans frusli, special k bars, carbonara sauce, tuna steak
I'd like to call Dan and arrange for substitutions if I can. Can someone remind me of the phone numbers please?
